Hi! I'm Jakub, and I love traveling, meeting new people, and gaining new experiences. What makes me happiest is working in nature and learning practical skills that can be useful in life. I have experience in the hospitality and housekeeping industry, as well as cleaning boats in Tenerife, which taught me efficiency and attention to detail.

I'm passionate about electronic music—I create my own tracks in dark psytrance and progressive psytrance. In my free time, I enjoy playing chess, watching TV series, and exploring new places.

I’m traveling with my partner Patrycja, who is a creative artist with a love for macramé, crochet, and photography. We both enjoy learning new things and taking on various tasks, and we're excited to help with anything needed.

For me, Workaway is not just a way to travel but also an opportunity for cultural exchange and learning new skills. I'm always happy to help with different tasks and value good relationships with hosts and fellow Workawayers. I always try to give my best and enjoy every moment!

I am always interested in learning new languages and improving my skills. My native language is Polish, and I speak English fluently. I would love to practice and improve my English even more, and I am also open to learning new languages from other Workawayers or hosts. At the same time, I would be happy to help others learn Polish if they are interested! I believe that language exchange is a great way to connect with people and understand different cultures better.

I am a hardworking and motivated person who enjoys learning new skills and taking on different tasks. While I don’t have professional experience in housekeeping yet, I am eager to work in this field and gain hands-on experience. I learn quickly, pay attention to detail, and always strive to complete my tasks efficiently and thoroughly.

I have experience with physical work, such as cleaning and maintaining boats in Tenerife, which required precision and responsibility. Additionally, I have hands-on experience using an angle grinder for cutting and grinding surfaces in preparation for painting, as well as operating a MIG welder. I am comfortable with manual tasks and enjoy working with tools.

I also have technical skills in repairing electronic devices, including laptops, computers, and smartphones. I enjoy diagnosing and fixing issues, which has helped me develop patience, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.

I am passionate about electronic music production and enjoy playing chess, both of which have sharpened my focus and creativity. I approach every opportunity with a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute wherever needed.

In my free time, I enjoy playing chess and other board games that involve strategy and problem-solving. I also like outdoor activities such as hiking and exploring nature.

This was our very first Workaway experience and we couldn't have asked for a better start! We spent three weeks with señora Alejandra and had an amazing time.

I (Jakub) helped with various repairs — from electronics to plumbing — and also taught Alejandra how to use her new laser engraving machine. Patrycja assisted with creative and artistic… read more activities. We both had the chance to do what we enjoy while learning many new things along the way. We also helped out in the garden, which was a nice and grounding part of our daily routine.

Even though Alejandra doesn't speak English and our Spanish is still very basic, we had no major problems communicating. She spoke slowly and clearly, which helped us understand and express ourselves much better than we expected. She also recommended some great places to visit on the island and explained how to get there.

The food Alejandra prepared for us was delicious and typically Canarian — we really appreciated every meal. The atmosphere during our whole stay was warm and relaxed, and we felt completely comfortable and at home.

We’ll always have great memories of our time with Alejandra. 💛

¡Esta fue nuestra primera experiencia con Workaway y no podríamos haber pedido un mejor comienzo! Pasamos tres semanas con la señora Alejandra y fue una experiencia increíble.

Yo (Jakub) ayudó con varias reparaciones, desde electrónica hasta fontanería, y también enseñó a Alejandra cómo usar su nueva máquina de grabado láser. Patrycja colaboró en actividades artísticas y creativas. Ambos tuvimos la oportunidad de hacer lo que nos gusta y aprender muchas cosas nuevas. También ayudamos en el jardín, lo cual fue una parte agradable y reconfortante de nuestra rutina diaria.

Aunque Alejandra no habla inglés y nuestro español todavía es bastante básico, no tuvimos mayores problemas para comunicarnos. Ella hablaba despacio y de forma clara, lo que nos ayudó mucho a entendernos y expresarnos mejor de lo que esperábamos. También nos recomendó lugares muy bonitos para visitar en la isla y nos explicó cómo llegar a ellos.

La comida que Alejandra nos preparaba era deliciosa y típica canaria — ¡disfrutamos cada plato! Durante toda nuestra estancia el ambiente fue muy agradable y relajado, y nos sentimos completamente cómodos y como en casa.

Siempre recordaremos con cariño nuestro tiempo con Alejandra. 💛
