Hiya my name is Ken, a 24-year-old Male from Ireland. I’ve recently moved from the UK to South East Asia with my girlfriend, and we’re working towards becoming fully qualified English teachers to build a life here.
I’m friendly, easygoing, and always eager to learn something new. I love staying active, enjoy sports, and find joy in helping out wherever I can. I’m deeply interested in experiencing new cultures, learning about different religions, and meeting people from all walks of life. I have enjoyed renovating some houses and gardens , so I’m no stranger to hard work and getting my hands dirty.

Ken - Teaching and sharing knowledge have always been important to me. As a training manager in telecoms, I mentored teams and helped them build their skills. This inspired me to work toward becoming a fully qualified English teacher so I can continue teaching and building connections while living in Vietnam. Ontop of this I am always willing to learn more and would absolutely love to learn another language! Jasmine - I am very interested in both learning and teaching a language. During my time at university, I studied basic Italian, and I’ve always regretted not continuing with it. Learning new skills is something I deeply value, and language learning, in particular, holds a special place for me. As a tourism student, I’ve always found languages fascinating, as they are key to understanding and connecting with different cultures. The more languages I can learn, the more doors it opens for personal and professional growth. This passion for language is also what inspires me to teach English to others. I find it incredibly rewarding to help others communicate and express themselves, and it motivates me to keep improving my own skills as well.

Ken -
I’ve built up a diverse set of skills through some incredible experiences. I have a strong background in engineering. During my time at a farm engineering company, where I completed my studies and qualifications I learned how to build custom-designed crop sprayers and tractors from scratch-something Im really proud of!
I also worked as a training manager, overseeing telecom installations for 15% of the UK, where I developed leadership and project management skills over a team of 50 engineers.
Beyond this, I’ve taken on house renovation projects, including painting, repairs, and restoring older features. I’ve also worked on gardens, focusing on planting and general upkeep to create neat and functional spaces.
I’m hands-on, practical, and love solving problems.
Jasmine -
I have strong skills in social media and marketing, which I’ve developed through both personal and professional experiences. I have my own TikTok account where I create travel content, and in my previous job, I managed and created content for a TikTok account with 1 million followers. I’ve also managed Instagram accounts for companies, so social media management is a significant strength of mine.
In addition to my social media expertise, I have a background in sales, specifically in kitchen sales and designing. This role helped me develop creative skills, as well as design and planning abilities. It also enhanced my people skills, as I sold kitchens to a wide variety of individuals from different ages, genders, and backgrounds. This experience not only made me a great communicator but also taught me problem-solving and adaptability.
During university, I demonstrated my ability to work hard and focus on tasks, as earning a First Class Honours degree required dedication, excellent time management, and the ability to concentrate deeply on my studies. I applied this same level of focus to balancing academic responsibilities with extracurricular activities, which has prepared me to handle tasks efficiently in any setting.
Lastly, I believe I work exceptionally well with children, which comes naturally to me due to my kind and bubbly personality. I enjoy connecting with people of all ages and pride myself on my ability to build strong, positive relationships.
