My name is Kayla and I am 26 years old from New Zealand, with Irish dual citizenship. I am an enthusiastic and social person who loves to laugh. I love to help others, whether that be a physical act of service or listening when they need someone to talk to. During my Workaway I hope to meet new people, learn new skills and have fun!

Back home I am an environmental engineer, and am passionate about working in the sustainability sector. I am taking a career break right now to refresh and explore. In July I completed a 30 day solo hike from Munich to Venice, 550kms across the Alps. I love the outdoors and enjoy spending time at the beach, on the water or in the mountains. My other pastimes include reading, knitting, and spending quality time with family and friends.

- Installing pest traps in national parks to protect native birds

I am a highly practical person and have experience with gardening and painting. I have done some woodwork/welding before and would be open to helping with any kind of handy work. I am computer literate and can help with online or computer needs. I have a full New Zealand and International drivers licence.
