I have spent a few years travelling in different parts of the world to gain a better understanding of different cultures and to be able to help out in the ways that I can. Let's connect!

Hello and thank you for checking out my bio : )!

I love to explore and experience different cultures, while contributing to community projects in different parts of the world. I try my best to take breaks from the 9-5 in which I worked as a community support worker and educator (background in neuroscience) in the city, to experience alternative lifestyles abroad. Most recently I taught English as an art teacher in a surf town called Zarautz, and I have been assisting with the yard of guesthouse in the Basque country on my time off. I was also teaching yoga in San Sebastian (Donosti). I am staying in Spain waiting for the process of residency, and I am improving my spanish everyday.

Currently I am in Villajoyosa!

I am passionate about nature and global issues, and it's always a bonus to find a place that encompasses both. Skills wise, I have a lot of experience in different areas of the world from working in a remote indigenous village in the Amazon, working in environmental education/social issues; research/and footage of the drug exploitation in Colombia to bird migration and permaculture on the coast of Canada, to helping with the overall community and artistic life in hostels/guesthouses. At home, I worked in forest holistic education, community support work, and in neuroscience.

Personality wise, I am open minded, easy-going and curious, I always love sharing meals and conversations with people from around the world and learning new things from other people. We can always learn from each other : ).

I have a well rounded background in educational work; I worked as a forest educator, and as a neuroscientist/community support worker in social issues. During university, I interned a a field biologist working with bird migration, and I managed a lodge based in Banff National Park (which as a seasonal job for everyone else, meant doing all the lodge work in short-staff season including front desk, housekeeping, waitressing, accounting, etc.). As I've travelled for nearly a decade, I have also worked on a lot of different projects (bio-construction, education, front desk, gardening, biology, cooking, tour guiding, mural designing and painting, translating...) in many different countries. That's why I am open to help in any type of project. I see the value in helping people do what they do, and coming together in creating a project.
