  • Description

    Hi!Nice to meet you.

My name is Junko and I live in Japan.
I live in the countryside, surrounded by the calm waters of the Seto Inland Sea and its many small islands and rich nature. There is also an art island called "Naoshima" nearby, which you may have heard of.

I worked for a large department store for 10 years and met many people. I also worked as a barista for 3 years.
I enjoyed meeting and interacting with people more than anything, and I traveled a lot.
France, Austria, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Vietnam...
The most memorable trip was to the United States, where I traveled alone. I traveled to Seattle, New York, and Texas to meet friends and drink my favorite coffee!

My life's theme is “‘’go to many places, meet many people, and exchange many cultures and ideas‘’”.
For this reason, I have decided to go around the world through workaway.
Japan has not made much progress in addressing the gender gap and environmental issues, and there are many people who are too desperate to work. When I thought about what I could do, I decided that the world is a much bigger place and there are many different ways of living, and I wanted to learn about them!

First of all, I will give it a try! I will cherish my feelings there and try to go forward again!

I am cheerful, sociable and willing to try new things.
I usually spend time with my family and friends camping, mountain climbing, art appreciation, watching movies, and cooking.
I often spend days kayaking and sipping, especially since the Seto Inland Sea is a Mediterranean Sea with few waves. I also once climbed the highest mountain in Japan, Mt.FUJI.
I love to play with children, of course, since I was working in a job that brought me into contact with many people. I enjoy spending time with my children, and I am always looking for new things to discover and laugh about.

Since I am not very fluent in English and can only speak my native language, Japanese, it was a great opportunity to learn a new language (English, of course, but I am very interested in other languages as well!) ), I would like to travel the world and enjoy life more with new encounters and discoveries! Of course, I would like to communicate well with others, even if I have to use a cell phone or a translator.

If you are interested in Japanese culture (Japanese language, Japanese food, anime, etc.) I would be happy to introduce you to it!

I look forward to meeting you all!
    Thanks for reading!
Please feel free to ask me anything you are interested in..! :D

  • More details about your skills

My main job is to manage and buy products in a department store. And a barista at a cafe.

I value doing everything to the best of my ability, having fun and cooperating with others to reach a goal. I think this is the most important thing.

Above all, I like to communicate with people. For example, in Japan, I organize "Meetings to talk about movies" and participate in "Meetings to introduce books I have read‘’.

I also love music because I played saxophone in a brass band, and I often attend music festivals.

Finally, I cook dinner at home, so I think I can introduce you to Japanese food (^^)
