I’m an outdoorsy person with a love for all things nature! Hiking, foraging, wild swimming, music and cooking are just a few of my hobbies.

Description

Hiya! I'm a university student from Edinburgh hoping to use some of my free time to travel and meet new folk.

I’ve been all over the UK and been lucky enough to see a good chunk of Europe, meeting new people and offering any skills I can to the communities I find myself in, and loved every second of it.

I am currently at university in Edinburgh, studying biology and ecology and running foraging and botanic societies in Scotland. Having lived in the remote highlands, working as a ranger and chef, I am keen to get back into the outdoors at every opportunity.

I have a passion for all things creative, having studied theatre, art, writing and being reasonably proficient in guitar and singing; having played a number of paid gigs across the UK. I’m no stranger to hands on labour and have gladly turned my hand to tree planting and deer stalking. I worked as a chef for a number of months in Scotland and the Lake District and have had jobs all across the customer service realm - cleaning, waitressing, working the bar retail, etc., etc., etc! I've even spent time working as a teacher with younger kids and have completed my TEFL qualification should anyone wish to give their English a bit more practice.

Ultimately, I love nothing more than to learn new skills and make the most of my time in a place, so am happy to crack on with absolutely whatever!

The outdoors is my happy place and am easily satisfied with good views, good craic and a good pint!

I've worked with horses, dogs, and other animals and spent many an hour gardening and growing - It's a goal of mine to live as sustainably and ethically as possible and care for the environment I've lived and loved in.

I have a bit of an eclectic range of skills, including technical writing through to music (singer and guitarist with grade three training in music theory); art; writing (have published an anthology and been featured on the front cover of SMPLE magazine); and farm work (riding, cleaning and tending to horses). I've also worked as a tutor and teaching assistant (so am more than happy to help teach English to anyone interested), and as a chef, in addition to a number of cleaning and waitressing roles to help out along the way.
