We are currently in Antigua where we are both hitchhiking to the Dominican Republic. From there we will either go south to LATAM or north, depending on the boats we find.
Description
Hello! We are Julie and Jonathan, a Canadian-French couple who were most recently living in Paris, until we took off for an around-the-world trip without taking planes. We are partnered with a Canadian NGO called TeamUp to support disadvantaged communities around the world.
After are trip, we are interested in opening a kind of hotel, meeting point to build community and bring together other socially-minded travellers like us. For this reason we are interested in getting to know everything about the hotel business - from renovation through to administration.
Julie is a native English speaker but is fully fluent in French, Spanish, and is learning Portuguese currently. She loves running, hiking, dancing, and being outdoors.
Jonathan is a native French speaker who is fluent in English and learning Spanish. He is an outdoor lover, growing up doing Boy scouts. He is a software developer by day, but in his spare time he prefers to be running in the mountains. He also spent 15 years volunteering as a lead first-aid responder for the Order of Malta.
We are easy going, hard working, curious people and we look forward to working with you!

Julie fluent in English, French, and Spanish, and can get by in Portuguese. She is great with people and am very outgoing. She has experience in the service industry and studied communications and public relations in university. She is enthusiastic, outgoing, hard working, and eager to learn. Julie as some experience in sailing, gardening, cooking, cleaning, and pet sitting. Ever an animal lover, she is interested to learn more about animal care. She has also used workaway previously when she was travelling with her sister 8 years ago, so she has experience working with different families and people in this setting. She is also fit and strong, and not afraid of physical work.
Jonathan has skills in technology, an interest in building and carpentry, an intermediate level sailor, and I fully trained in first aid. An engineer's brain, he is always trying to figure out how stuff works. He has some experience in home renovations, gardening, and is interested in learning about farming. He is fluent in English and a native French speaker. He loves animals, especially dogs, and is interested to learn more about their care.
