Hi I'm Jake,

I'm from Arizona in the U.S. I studied engineering in college/university and worked for two years until I decided to travel.

I consider myself pretty easy going and calm, but I also love being social and connecting with people :)

I have experience with garden/yard work, house work, and working with kids, but I am always happy to learn a new skill or do whatever work is needed to help whoever I am staying with.

I love going to new places, meeting new people and connecting with them, and experiencing their culture. I especially love small towns. Enjoying the nature in the area, and exploring the town on a bike or on a long walk have been my go-to activity when I have free time.

I have been travelling since August now and have loved it. I have been to the UK, Ireland, and Germany and have been loving Germany. I am hoping to find another workaway in Germany, where I can practice German, before I return home.

I studied mechanical engineering in college, and have worked as a technician and manufacturing engineer. I am fairly good with handyman/maintenance or repair work.

I also had to do yard and house work regularly while growing up, and at other workaways I've done lawn mowing/strimming, hedge trimming, and raking. I'm happy and able to do that type of work.

I also have experience working with kids. I helped run a tennis summer camp for kids of ages 8 - 15, in previous workaways I've worked with about the same age range in groups of up to 15 kids, I and also have two younger brothers that I've taken care of many times.

What else ...

I love tennis and really all racquet sports (table tennis, racquetball, etc.), but I also love sports in general. Always willing to try a new one!
I also enjoy a good board game or card game too.
Aside from that I like to read as well.
