Hi! I’m Jesse and I’m a community gardener and horticulturalist from Australia.

I love working with both people and plants, I have degrees in conservation biology and horticulture (the science of growing plants) and have worked in community/union organising, community gardening, nurseries, have worked with people with intellectual disabilities doing gardening.

My number one passion in life is growing food and cooking it :)

I spent a wonderful 3 weeks with Anna, Ákos, Ágnes, Mátyás, and Zalán. They were so welcoming and made me feel like a part of the family, integrating me into their daily activities and adventures. This was my first Workaway experience and it was amazing! I stayed for 3 weeks and Šejla was a wonderful host and the hostel had a really nice social and family vibe.
