Hi! We are a young couple from Derby, England, embarking on an exciting gap year after finishing our A levels. Our hearts are set on exploring the diverse cultures of Europe and Japan. We are flexible and open to any project or task that is thrown our way and approach each opportunity with enthusiasm and an emphasis on learning new things! We are friendly and caring. We are looking forward to meeting and making friends with lots of people from many walks of life.

We are a versatile duo with many skills acquired through both life and work experiences. Our communication skills enable great interactions in diverse environments, while our knack for quick learning ensures adaptability to new challenges! Thriving in fast-paced settings, we tackle tasks with efficiency and precision, all while maintaining a positive, uplifting atmosphere. Active by nature, we bring energy and enthusiasm to any task at hand. We really enjoy the thrill of problem-solving, complemented by a strong work ethic. But beyond the professional world, our culinary experience reflects a passion for cooking, and our background in hospitality underscores our commitment to providing hard-work. We are keen to learn new skills, so won't avoid tasks we are unfamiliar with- we are ready to get stuck in! We are both going off to university next year to study Electrical engineering at Glasgow (James) and Zoology at Nottingham (Josie) We look forward to contributing our skills to enrich any Workaway experience!! :)

Hi, I am James, I love the adrenaline of mountain biking and have even tackled some downhill races. When I'm not conquering trails, I like to listen to many genres of music and watch lots of films, my favourite being Eternal sunshine of a spotless mind. Sometimes I enjoy playing the drums and some guitar with my older brother. I find joy in the kitchen, whipping up delicious meals, and expressing myself through watercolor paintings and photography.

Hello! I am Josie, I am very passionate about and fascinated by animals, bugs and insects- I just love every single one of them. Enjoying being outdoors means I'm always up for outdoor activities, including walking and kayaking. Being creative is important to me so I often like to do some watercolour painting, occasional knitting, and embroidery. I dabble in playing music, but I spend the majority of time listening to it!- my current fav is Nick Drake.

Together, we bring a blend of outdoor enthusiasm, creativity, and a love for life to any space we inhabit. We look forward to sharing our adventures and contributing positively to our time together :)
