Hello my name is Jali, I'm a native Australian. I grew up on the most eastern point of Australia which is famous for its surfing community and alternative lifestyle. It's a very lush and unique part of the continent full of rainforests and mountains.

I love the ocean and the mountains, I spend my free time surfing, hiking, and rock climbing. I've deferred from my university degree in Marine Biology. I've decided to do some travelling and volunteer conservation work before I go home.

I want to make as many unique and interesting experiences as I can, before I have to study for a few years. I'm going to be filming a documentary along the way aimed at sustainability and indigenous cultures to highlight the way we can live in harmony with our environment.

Especially our oceans which are our most precious and fragile ecosystems!

More details about my language interests
I'm very interested in learning new languages so I can travel and communicate with people more personally. I'm currently learning Spanish as my second language. Hopefully I can extend that to three or four languages in the future.

I grew up in a coastal rural area on acreage, I have some basic knowledge of homestead living (feeding animals, caretaking gardens, landscaping, and forestry work). I have experience in sailing, and marine study through my schooling.

I worked as a chef straight out of high school for four years, I went travelling then came back to Australia to study a Bachelor of Screen and Media. I've been working in the film industry for the better part of five years.

I have a small amount of experience in the building industry, and basic skills working on our family farm (building, repairing, forestry and machinery work)

I would love to learn how to sail more proficiently in the future, I find it the most calming form of travel. And I hope to own my own little sail boat in the future
