In the past few years, my happiest moments have been hiking a section of the Appalachian Trail in Maine, exploring a new city (Boston), being involved with a local organization to end human trafficking, and working on a novel.
I think these are a good sampling of what I want to do more of: being in nature, exploring new places and meeting new people, trying to make a difference in the world, and finding different ways of creative expression.

--9 years of teaching ESL/EFL in Japan
--two different library jobs (I currently work in a library)
--two different jobs in banking (mostly in banking operations)
--lots of gardening and pet care

What else ...

I like relaxing by reading, writing, or watching TV, and most enjoy simple things, like taking walks and sitting around chatting with friends. Some odds and ends of things that I seem to end up doing a lot at work/home are organizing, writing, and visual arts all kinds (including some graphic design).
