Bonjour ! Je m’appelle Inga, j’ai 51 ans et je viens d’ Essen en Allemagne et je travaille comme jardinière depuis plus de 30 ans. Cet été, je vais changer de travail et j’aurai un mois de pause entre les deux – une bonne occasion de voyager, découvrir de nouvelles choses et rencontrer des gens.

J’aime travailler dehors, être active et utiliser mes mains. Je peux aider volontiers dans le jardin, pour des travaux extérieurs ou des petits projets de bricolage (DIY). Je suis fiable, motivée et je n’ai pas peur de me salir les mains !

À l’école, j’aimais beaucoup le français, et maintenant j’aimerais améliorer mes connaissances en venant en France. En ce moment, je pratique avec Duolingo – c’est sympa, mais je pense que je vais progresser beaucoup plus vite en parlant avec des gens sur place.

Mon anglais est de base, mais je pense qu’avec un peu de français, un peu d’anglais, et de la bonne volonté, on arrivera très bien à se comprendre !

Je suis heureuse d’apprendre, d’aider et de partager de bons moments.

Hello! My name is Inga, I’m 51 years old and I am from Essen in Germany and have been working as a gardener for over 30 years. This summer, I’ll be changing jobs and will have a one-month break in between – a perfect opportunity to travel, meet new people, and experience something different.

I’ve always enjoyed working with my hands and being outdoors, and I’m happy to help with gardening, outdoor maintenance, or some DIY projects. I’m reliable, motivated, and not afraid to get my hands dirty.

Back in school, I loved learning French, and now I’d like to refresh and improve my language skills by spending some time in France. At the moment, I’m practicing with Duolingo – it’s a fun way to learn, but I believe being in the country and speaking with people will help me improve much faster.

My English is basic but functional, and with a mix of French, English, and a bit of goodwill, I’m sure we’ll manage to communicate just fine!

I speak basic English and some French (A2). I’m not fluent but I can understand and communicate simple things. I’m happy to learn more and improve by speaking with others. With a bit of patience and good will, we’ll understand each other! 😊

As I said above, I am a certified gardener with nearly 30 years of professional experience. My work includes everything related to garden and plant care, building paths, terraces, fences and walls, and creating new garden areas. I have a lot of knowledge about our local plants and how to work with them in different seasons.

I am also used to working with machines like chainsaws, small excavators, cement mixers, hedge trimmers and I can drive vehicles up to 7.5 tons. I enjoy practical work and like to work in a team.

Before I became a gardener, I completed a two year apprenticeship as an industrial tailor, so I also have some experience with sewing and working with textiles.

I am married and have two sons and I take care of our home and garden.
When I was young I also helped on a farm from time to time.
But most important, I’d also like to learn some new stuff, so I’m looking forward to be part of some fun projects.
