Hello, I'm Hannes!

I grew up on a small farm surrounded by animals and at least five other families. This vibrant mix taught me early on how to get along with both animals and people. I've always had a great passion for nature, which led me to train as a carpenter.

Since May 2022, I've been traveling during the winter months. My work as a carpenter initially took me to Sweden, and later I decided to explore more of the world. That's how I ended up in Spain and Portugal, where I wasn't working as a carpenter, but instead traveling and volunteering through Workaway projects. My first Workaway experience was so rewarding that I also took the opportunity to have similar adventures in New Zealand.

The amazing experiences and people I met along the way inspired me to continue my journey – now through Slovenia, Croatia, and other countries on my way to Greece.

Hannes and Mattis were lovely helping hands at our place. So easy to work beside and also very capable to sort themselves out with vague instructions..
Making good use of materials, and seeing seeing how best to tackle jobs. Very considerate young men!

Kate and Francois really have some interesting Work to do. But it's not just the work that made the stay so great and interesting. Much more the two make it a beautiful experience. Hannes and Mattis are two angels that are a pleasure to have around, love animals and have very good social skills.
