I'm currently exploring the south island of NZ. I'm excited to connect with local people and help out in the garden, with children, DIY projects, animals- I'm very willing to learn new skills!

Description

Hi! I'm Hannah, a primary school teacher from the UK. I'm currently having a sabbatical from teaching and have recently arrived in New Zealand to explore, meet people and have new experiences and adventures! Since being here, I've skied, hiked, parachuted, explored the many beautiful lakes on the south island and met amazing and kind New Zealanders as well as many fellow travellers.

In between travelling and working in New Zealand, I'm looking forward to connecting with local people via Workaway and learning and sharing together. I've volunteered on many different types of projects in the past and am excited to be volunteering again! I'm an enthusiastic and positive person who will throw themselves into whatever task is given to them and am very willing to learn new skills!

I love anything outdoorsy - hiking, cycling, skiing, surfing... oh, and cats! (any animal really but cats are high on the list!)

I'm a primary school teacher so working with children is my main skill and experience. I'm very good at learning on the job and getting stuck into projects with full gusto! I am a hands on person and am willing to get stuck into any project you have going! I'd love to help in your garden/land (I have helped my grandparents in the past on their acre of land here in the UK) and any DIY projects you need assistance with. I also love animals (especially cats!) and could help you with these if you needed any assistance here.
