    About Anja
Hello there, my name is Anja! I am 21 years old and a nurse in training. I'm the oldest of
three children, I have a sister who is 17 and a little brother who is 7.
As a big sister I can handle trouble well because that's exactly what my siblings are. But all
jokes aside I love them dearly. While growing up I spent a lot of time on the countryside. My
family used to hike a lot and I still can walk the whole day without getting tired. In my free
time I read a lot, last year I managed to read 24 novels. Currently I am working on a poem
    book.
For me my friends are my family. Spending time with my loved ones is a big priority for me.
Even people who might have been a stranger the day before, can overnight become
someone I hold dear. Especially since I started studying I met people from all over the world.
Meeting people from different cultures showed me how much I truly want to see the world.
When I am somewhere else, I can’t lie on the beach and do nothing. That's the worst for me.
I want to have a task and to be proud when I fulfilled it. That is why I think workaway is so
    great for me.

    About Hanna
Hey! My name is Hanna, I am 22 years old and study sociology in my final year. I also work as a reception manager at classical concerts in the viennese palace of Schönbrunn.
Besides reading and spending time with my family and pets, I love to travel (I know, big surprise).
For me, travelling is not only going on holidays and relaxing. I need adventure, people who show me different ways to live, cross boundaries and help me grow as a person. After my graduation I've spent half a year in London and half a year in Costa Rica, after that experience I couldn't stay longer than two following months in Vienna without spending some time abroad. Since then I've travelled through Europe, Chile, Argentina and Guatemala.
In Guatemala I did several volunteering work, such as helping out in hostels, participate in cleaning actions and thought young women about female empowerment and gave english lessons. Those experiences gave me the idea to create a workaway account. I believe, that everyone should get the option to learn about different countries and people to better understand the world we live in. :)

    Anjas education:
After finishing lower grade in grammar school I continued my high school education at the
HTL Spengergasse, an Austrian secondary school with a technical focus. I was in the interior
and surface department, where I also learned a lot about pattern design, graphic design,
architectural plans, modelling, print, weaveing and handicraft. I worked with materials such
    as wood, fabric or metal.
After that I studied sociology and journalism and communication studies for a year but
changed my major because I realized that I wanted to work with people one on one. Now I
am at the Vienna University of Applied Science where I am doing my bachelor in Health and
Nursing. While studying I also did some internships at the hospital, retirement homes and in
    long-term care.
In grammar school I volunteered at my church as a youth group leader. There I took care of
children from the ages nine to twelve. Once a week we met up for an afternoon to play, craft
or go on day trips. Every summer we went to a youth camp in upper austria. All the group
leaders from the different groups came together to plan and organize the camp. It was hard
because we didn’t have many funds but we always made it possible to make it an awesome
week for the kids. I also do some small side jobs from time to time such as waitress, hostess
and construction dismantling work. Occasionally I help my uncle out on his farm in lower
    Austria.
