Hello there!
This is Gonzalo, a Uruguayan who's been doing a Work and Study in beautiful Ireland for the last year.
Yet my visa is coming to an end and I have the intention of travelling in Europe a bit before heading back home, in particular East Europe, the Balkans and the Baltic nations.
My English level is C1 (Advanced). Spanish is my mother tongue and I'm learning Russian language, although my level is A2.
Volunteering isn't new to me. My last experiences were in organic farms and guest houses in Germany and the Netherlands and a hostel in Argentina. At the moment I'm in County Wicklow volunteering for a host who has a nice garden and some lovely animals to look after.
In Uruguay I worked at construction sites and did some montage. Before heading to Irish shores I worked for a Slovakian / Finnish company. We had a 100-ton crane and used to move equipment, cargo containers, service platforms and what not... I was the rigger.

I'd say the most outstanding feature of my personality is patience and an old-fashioned sense of responsability.
In regards to jobs I'm ready for household chores, doing the groceries, having a chat with open-minded people (aka help with tourists), farming and so on.
Spanish is my mother tongue, and I believe I have an upper intermediate level of English. In case my host is interested in getting some practice with these languages take that for granted!
Currently learning Russian, although my level is basic. I also know some German.Age

What else ...
I really enjoy both noisy life in cities and the tranquillity of rural areas alike, I've found both necessary depending on the stage of life I'm facing at that particular moment.
Even though I'm pretty down for almost ANY kind of volunteer job, I'd still rather have someone else taking care of very little children, elderly people, teaching at an institution and cooking as my ability is very simple, but I'd be more than happy to help and keep on learning about it.Some more information

Since the very beginning with my arrival I was received with a feast of pizzas. Food is very important for this family and they are great at cooking.
My room was also comfy and with a nice view towards the Alps, with a nice flat TV and DVD Player. They also offered her huge DVD… read more
I wish my journey through Workaway had started at your place alongside you both. Anyway, everything has a reason to be and I was supposed to learn from previous hosts/places.
During one month and one week of my stay there I got to know two other nice workawayers and share a table where the… read more
