  • Description

We are Baran and Javi, a couple recently moved from Berlin to the U.S. After many years working and studying in Germany—Baran in sustainable management and facility planning, and Javi in architectural engineering—we founded our own architecture firm focused on ecological and sustainable design.
We’re motivated by meaningful work, connection with people, and learning through real experiences. Nature, culture, and shared values bring us happiness. Helping others while learning and improving our English is a path we truly enjoy.
We value kindness, reliability, and curiosity, and hope to contribute positively wherever we are!

Together, we bring a strong mix of practical and professional skills. Baran has years of experience in project management, facility management, and sustainable planning. Javi is trained in architectural engineering and has worked on various building projects, both design and construction.
We are hands-on, organized, and detail-oriented. We’re also used to working in teams, managing responsibilities, and adapting to different tasks—indoors or outdoors. Gardening, cooking, basic repairs, cleaning, helping with guests or events—these are things we both enjoy.
We work with care, learn quickly, and are happy to help wherever support is needed.

  • What else ...

    Hello,

My name is Baran, and together with my husband Javi, we recently moved to the United States. For the past ten years, we lived, studied, and worked in Berlin, Germany.

I earned my degree in Sustainable Management from the Technical University of Berlin and also studied Facility Management at HTW Berlin. Over the years, I’ve worked as a project manager for several leading real estate, architecture, and construction companies in Berlin.

Javi studied Architectural Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin and is a licensed member of the Berlin Chamber of Architects.

After gaining extensive professional experience, we founded our own architecture firm in Berlin, which you can find at www.gavaristudio.com. Sustainability, ecological development, and environmental respect have always been fundamental values for us—both personally and professionally.

We chose to move to the United States to pursue further education, new career opportunities, and meaningful challenges. Our first immigration experience taught us that the best way to truly connect with a new country is by becoming a part of it—not just by being open and respectful, but by living alongside local families and embracing their culture and values in everyday life.

We’ve always been eager to explore new paths and grow through real experiences.

When we came across your post, we were immediately drawn to the idea of living and working in a place so closely connected to nature. Helping to care for your home and farm would be a refreshing and rewarding opportunity for us. We’d also be thankful for the chance to improve our English while supporting your day-to-day life and expanding our own skills.

We’re a small multicultural family used to adapting to new cultures and environments. We truly hope to share positive, enriching experiences with you—learning from your lifestyle and contributing to your household while embracing American values and everyday life.

    Warm regards,
    Baran & Javi
