Description

Since I recently graduated from the University (Bachelors degree in Service Management focused on hotel and tourism) I’m facing some big questions. What do I want to do in life and how can i make it happen?

I’m currently dreaming of restoring an old farmhouse somewhere around the Mediterranean Sea and starting a life there, aligned with nature. By joining Work away I’m hoping to get a taste of similar lifestyles, meeting inspiring people, learning their way of life and sharing knowledge.

I’m in general flexible and a quick learner. I enjoy challenging myself and learning new things! I’ve listed some of my skills down below.

- Bachelor degree in Service Management
My education has brought me knowledge about business development, organization, marketing, leadership, recruiting, sustainable solutions in hospitality, economics and so forth. A little bit of everything regarding business and organization!

- 2 summers at a Farm
The last two summers I’ve also worked on a farm with milk cows where I learned a lot about nurturing them, driving different machines and running projects. I loved this job as I became a part of the family, got to spend time with animals and enjoy nature!

- 4 summers at a café
I’ve also spent four summers working on a café, where I enjoyed getting to know my colleagues as well as the customers.

- Animal care and gardening
Outside of work, different animals and nature has been a big part of my life. During my teenage years I’ve had three horses and I began horse riding at the age of six. Cats and dogs has been a part of my whole life. My interest for nature led me to growing my own plants and vegetables.

- Construction work
Eventually my family and I built our own greenhouse of windows that we restored. I’m currently helping my dad build a garage as well which is giving me some more experience regarding construction work.

-Cooking
Since I was little I’ve also enjoyed both baking and cooking, and love to work with all different types of food. Cooking becomes even more fun when you are able to use things from you own garden! :)

-Childcare
Last but not least I’ve also got experience with children as I’ve worked as a babysitter to a pair of brothers at the age of 5 and 8.

What else ...

I like to reflect on life and what true happiness is. Meditation, self development, mental health and so forth are topics close to my heart. During my time traveling I hope to explore these things even more.

Aligned with my dream of restoring an old farmhouse one day, I Would also love to learn more about restoration techniques and sustainable building, as well as sustainable living in general.
