Hi!

My name is Freja, I am 25 years old and just finished a bachelor degree in English and History of Arts at Aarhus University, Denmark. At the moment, I am working to save money for travelling – I expect to travel for a few years before finishing the masters!

I would love to stay in a place full of beautiful nature and preferably with some people that I can get to know a little during my time with you - I love human as well as animal interaction, enjoy talking to children too. :) If you have the time and patience to teach me, I could help with almost anything - I do want to learn new skills.

Experiene
I have been working with customer service, in a nursing home, a kindergarten and a bakery so talking to people is no problem! Furthermore, I volunteer at an NGO focusing on young people with refugee experience where I plan fun events for them and recently became SoMe responsible for my local group.


I think volunteering through Workaway is a great opportunity for meeting people from around the world and creating relationships around meaningful work.

When not working, I enjoy spending time reading, hiking, knitting, listening to and playing music, baking and cooking, and discussing politics / philosophies - in a respectful manner of course. :)

Caring for animals and children: I've worked at a kindergarden and love animals.

Cooking and baking: I love cooking and am good at it!

Gardening: I have volunteered with gardening before and have helped my parents in their garden.

SoMe: I'm responsible for a local NGO's digital media, and I would love to create SoMe content for you. I am great with filming, photographing, editing, and playing with words. At Aarhus University, I took courses in Ethics and Communication so I am mindful about that I post in an ethical manner.

Customer contact: Because of my experience with working with people both behind the counter but also in a kindergarden and nursing home, I am good at sensing what a certain situation craves from me and acting accordingly.

Creative projects: I am a creative person with lots of creative outlets. I will gladly help with creative projects too.

Anything else: I am up for a challenge but also not afraid of asking for help if I do not feel comfortable with a specific task. I love being out in nature in all kinds of weather, so it is no problem for me to help out in the out doors too. Singing, painting, and learning new things and ways of perceiving life - I'm up for it! So if you want my help with something specific, I am not shy to try new things.

What else ...

I loooove being creative! I knit, draw, create little trinkets, play with pearls, and do lino prints. I love the community around creating something together.

I love to sing. During highschool, I sang every sunday in the big cathedral of my home town and I was in a programme for rhythmical instrumentalists at the music school. In the afternoon I would be happy to participate in a singalong - or playing a board game or something else if singing is not you:).
