Description
My name is Florian, and I’m from France. I am currently in a transitional period after eight years of experience as a project manager. I worked for two NGOs specializing in youth empowerment and in the cultural department of a language center.
Intercultural relations play a significant role in my life. Over the past six years, I’ve been involved in youth organizations hosting international students, carring several intercultural projects, and spending a year abroad as a student in Poland. I’m also passionate about traveling and have explored various destinations, including Europe, Nepal, and Mexico. At present, I am seeking volunteering opportunities that allow me to contribute to a community while meeting people, discovering new cultures, and exploring different ways of living.
I am deeply committed to initiatives that promote reciprocal engagement with communities. I aim to build meaningful connections with people from all walks of life, particularly with youth, elders, and individuals with disabilities. In my previous roles, I collaborated with young volunteers aged 17-25, facilitated intergenerational activities with seniors, and worked during three summers at holiday centers for individuals with disabilities—communities I truly enjoy working with.
This is why I am now seeking a workaway mission focused on local community and solidarity support in Central Africa—a region I have yet to explore but would like to discover step by step. I am particularly interested in missions that foster meaningful interactions and connections with diverse groups of people.
While I am not specialized in a specific field such as teaching or engineering, my experience as a project manager and volunteer has equipped me with the skills to contribute in various ways : personal support, logistical organization, activity planning, empowerment workshops on project or organizational management, as well as assistance in agriculture or general logistical support for community initiatives.
I am fluent in French and English and can also communicate in Spanish.
