Hello out there!
I am Fiona, a 25 year old Austrian girl who is ready for her next adventure :)

I am an open-minded, funny and always smiling person who loves to challenge herself. I have a degree in Global Sales and Marketing but decided to live my 20's different to working a 9 to 5 job. For the last four summers i have been working seasonally as a waitress in a hut in the Austrian Alps. The winters are for travelling, experiencing new cultures, trying out new things, learning different skills and just enjoying life. I have lived in Mexico, Guatemala, Tanzania and Sweden for a period of time. I love being in international environments and i love spending time outdoors.

I feel home in the mountains and everywhere else in nature. I like to go hiking, running, kayaking and i also love to practice kickboxing. I am a passionate diver and just get amazed by the beauty and unknown of the underwater world.

I am keen about gaining new skills and I think I can pick up new things quickly as I am an enthusiastic learner. So, I am happy to help with any kind of work :-)

Workaway has given me the opportunity to connect with people from other countries on a deeper level and this is what i really like and why i travel. In the end, travelling is all about meeting new people.

- I worked as a waitress for the last 4 seasons (especially in service but if support is needed i am also happy to cook and help in the kitchen)
- I worked in marketing, especially social media marketing, so I can also help out with any kind of online promotions
- I love to work with animals and to take care of them, I never miss out on going for a daily walk with my dog
- I am good with planning and organising activities
- I play piano and the flute
- My family and i have an annual project where we make handcrafts from wood and epoxy resin and we sell it at the local christmas markets

Previous volunteering experience:
- Guatemala: renovating a house, painting walls, sanding old furniture etc.
- Mexico: cooking in a communitarian kitchen
- Mexico: renovating a house, changing windows, painting walls
- Mexico: babysitting a 3 year old
- Tanzania: teaching English and Mathematics to kids
- Portugal: building a COB house in the forest, clay work, building a stone wall etc.
