Hi everyone, my name is Fiona and I'm 22 years old. :)
I am currently studying Social Work (semester 5) in Freiburg, Germany. I just came back from my Erasmus+ semester in Ireland and have some free time before the next one starts. Before I started my studies in 2022, I was doing a gap year, because I felt like if I wouldn't travel then I'd miss the oppounity even though I had already done a voluntary service for a year in Germany which I loved doing. I did workaway in Canada while hitchhiking through the country with a dear friend of mine, so I've got a lot of experience with getting my hands dirty. I also spend autumn 2021 on a farm in Greece and it was wonderful: I experienced so much joy and inner peace doing practical work, while seeing the immidiate outcome.
I'd describe myself as empathetic, easy to motivate, funny and friendly. I smile a lot and I'd also say that I'm a fast learner. I'm open to pretty much anything and will also try anything possible, be it food or whatever. I'm easy to talk to and I meet people with an open heart.
My hobbys include reading and dancing, discovering new music,.. I'm learning to play the (left-handed) guitar and like to accompany myself singing songs. Also, I'm passionate about tea and vegetables!

I finished my A-levels in July 2020. From September 2020 to August 2021 I did a federal voluntary service (Bundesfreiwilligendienst) in a social café, where i worked with people with little money, homeless people and immigrants. My exercises were mostly housekeeping (providing coffee and bread, cooking, doing the laundry, organizing the mail for the homeless people), but I took also part in the social counseling sometimes. Additionally, I am an active member of the scouts in my neighborhood since 2018, and I've given math tutoring and have done babysitting for two families with multiple children for a year each.

Apparently I am not very seaworthy as I get seasick very easily. It's a pity!
But with land under my feet I work wonderfully fine, I am always willing to learn and not afraid to get my hands dirty. You can rely on me and I don't have high standards when it comes to the living situation.
