There are a lot of different things that bring me joy. First of all, I love to learn and experience new things. This includes meeting new people, travelling to new places and going on adventures. I love sports and have tried out lots of different ones! After playing soccer for almost 10 years, participating in a boxing match and completing my first ever marathon this year, being active is what makes me feel the most 'me.'
My family and friends are very important to me and spending time with them makes me very happy. However, I also really love spending time alone and learning. Right now I'm studying psychology at university, which interests me endlessly. I love to learn about self-development, and through my studies I also gained a lot of knowledge of and experience with meditation. Apart from my studies, I am currently working in a kindergarten as a childcare worker. I love to spend time with children and I am very passionate about my job.
To conclude: I try to find joy in whatever excites me or makes me feel passionate. As for right now, I am very passionate about my next adventure: a solo trip to Indonesia!

More details about my language interests
I have quite a bit of experience with both learning and teaching languages, and it's something I'm really passionate about. During my gap year, I spent six months in Spain to learn Spanish – and it still stands out as one of the happiest times in my life. Besides learning new languages, I also have plenty of experience tutoring students – especially in English, French, and German.

In my life, I've worked in all kinds of restaurants, including in hospitality. These ranged from more formal restaurants to a casual bar and a bakery. I really enjoyed working in such different environments and learned a lot from each experience. Besides hospitality work, I also have experience in sales. That job taught me how to connect with all kinds of people and helped me become much more confident in doing so. While studying, I worked as a teacher and tutor at several high schools. I helped students with subjects like English and Dutch, but also supported them with general homework and managing their to-do lists. I also gave soccer training for a few years — combining my passion for sports with teaching. Right now, I’m working in a kindergarten as a childcare worker. I really enjoy my job, and spending time with children makes me very happy!

What else ...

When I was 18 years old I wasn't ready to go to university yet, so I decided to take gap year and go to Spain. This was the best decision of my life and the beginning of my love for travelling and exploring new cultures! The travels that I was fortunate enough to make and the people I met along the way have made a profound impact on me and still inspire me to this day. I am forever grateful to have had these experiences and excited for the many adventures that still lie ahead!
