Description
Hello I am Delia, I am always finding out bits about myself, still working life out. I am currently training to be a forest school teacher and moved to Romania recently after living in the UK for a long time.
I adore travelling, I especially enjoy taking my dogs with me on trails and exploring new places. Since I lived in Brazil for 4 years, I grew to understand a lot more about the plight of indigenous people and have done my best to support them where possible.
I have been working with dogs for the last 10 years also, in my company in London.
Romania definitely has a lot to offer and over the next year, I would like to explore more and meet new people.

My interest in languages stems from when I was a child. I pretty much had to learn English when I was in Romania as my mum was planning on taking us to England, so I had tutors to help. The love developed more when I was in secondary school in the U.K. whilst learning Spanish, I had one of the coolest teachers, he was incredibly inspirational, talking about his travels and teaching in a fun interactive way. Nowadays I am quite relaxed with language learning, I believe that if I am being understood, that is the main thing. I prefer to focus on other areas more yet would be more than happy to help with some language practice (I'm just not brilliant at grammar :/)

More details about your skills
Following university, I started out as a secondary school teacher, teaching languages. I then got a little disillusioned with the system so started dog walking in London. I managed to build up a good clientele so when I moved to Brazil I hired people to take over the caring of the dogs.
The company is still running now so have built up a wide range of skills that are necessary for running a business. I am learning every day about effective marketing, social media and management.
I have been living in Brazil for over 3 years and worked at a British International school up until now. I have taught a wide range of subjects to primary students. I speak Portuguese fluently which has helped me a lot to fit in here. I have taken a variety of courses such as dog grooming and reiki.
At the school I started a gardening project. We started to compost, grow a variety of vegetables and a seed library. It has been a very fulfilling experience for the children, now just hope it will continue after I leave!

What else ...
I love some quiet time, to read, to be in my own company (which I adore !)
I have a lovely doggy who I adopted here in Brazil over a year ago. She is the sweetest thing, she has some reactivity with motorbikes, buses, binmen and anyone in a high vis jacket. She goes pretty much everywhere with me, you can see her Insta here @lilyi3magic
I like to wake up early and love a good routine. Trying my best to get more disciplined so any tips here appreciated !

They had a lot of initiative, were really hardworking and - even though they couldn't stay very long - we enjoyed some nice meals together, had great talks and laughs and shared a lot of stories.
