Ciao belli,
We are Franziska and David from the small alpine country of South Tyrol in northern Italy.
As we were both in the mood for a new adventure, we set off on a trip to Australia in January this year. After a short stop in the Philippines, we are now here to get to know new experiences, people and country.
We are both very open-minded and uncomplicated, we would say about ourselves.
What have we done so far?
We both have a gastronomic education. David as a chef and I as a restaurant specialist and hotel manager. We've spent most of our time in this industry so far and have continued to improve our skills in it. Above all, this means that we are passionate about everything to do with food, cultivation, processing, preparation and enjoyment. We are also both very service-oriented and communicative due to our work in great restaurants in our region.
Franziska:
Through my job in restaurant service, I have developed a good intuition for people, which helps me a lot to harmonize with different types of people.
I have also been able to continuously deepen my interest in wines. As our home region is an excellent wine-growing area, the passion is perhaps already obvious.
I also have a strong interest in organic farming from my parents' home. My father is an organic farmer and cultivates fields of apples, vines and various vegetables. Together with my sister, he also runs a delivery service and various stores for organic food and products.
My good relationship with children may have come from my mother, who was a kindergarten teacher. I honed these skills during my summer in Spain working in a kids club.
David: was able to learn in some of the best kitchens in our area, where he learned his love of local food, the art of tasting and preparing the endless varieties of pasta, ravioli and all kind of Italian and French cuisine.
The often tough everyday life in the kitchen also taught him perseverance, discipline and consistency. But his funny and cheerful nature always brought a smile to the whole team.
Being a brother to two younger boys has given him a great sense of responsibility and care from a young age.
He loves being in nature and with animals, hiking, diving, painting, pottery, in fact anything where he can express himself creatively.Interests
