Hey :)
I'm David from Austria. I'm 19 years old, and I finally have the chance to explore the world. Because I want to learn about different cultures and truly experience the countries I visit, I consider Workaway to be the perfect opportunity for me.

I really enjoy helping people with almost any kind of work, and (of course) I'm happy to learn new skills if they're necessary for one task or another.

About me: I'm an open-minded person who loves connecting with nature (especially through hiking!!!) making music (I play the guitar), pondering and philosophizing and learning how to cook dishes from around the world. And... how could it be different... riding my motorcycle through the dreamiest landscapes. Also, I love board games and long-night talks with a chill bunch of people :)

I really hope to have unforgettable experiences and meet special folks who will stay in my thoughts and memories for a long time after my adventures. :P

I'm a quick learner, which allows me to take on almost any task a host might need me to do.
My father used to take me to different kinds of jobs, where I learned to be flexible depending on the nature of the work.
For instance, did I help him build a larger carport and a chicken farm.

Since I was 15, besides from the work I did with my father, I have had several jobs during summer breaks in order to earn my own money;

--My first job was in construction as an assistant for a plumbing company.

--At 16, I worked as a waiter in the summer and on weekends during school in a pizzeria.

--At the age of 17, I worked in a woodworking factory, where I had to operate several different machines.

--At 18, after passing my A-levels, I worked in that factory again while also working as a waiter on weekends.
Finally, during my recent mandatory military service, I literally had to do everything—from janitorial tasks and cleaning to changing car wiring.

Unfortunately, I haven't learned anything about gardening yet, but I would love to change that in near future :)
