Nice to meet you! I am Caroline and have done a few workaways with friends, but am now ready to have my own account and do my own adventures :) Currently looking for summer 2024 hosts!

As a former military child, I am comfortable in many environments and quick to make friends. I am a remote worker, so I am able to travel, participate in local initiatives, and follow causes I am passionate about-all while I work online. I am figuring out where I want to place roots next, so I want to use Workaway to meet local families and learn more about the regions I visit.

My volunteering has taken me through many countries and had me interacting with many different kinds of people. I am open to new experiences and taking on new skills. My biggest passion currently has been working with refugees and helping them get acclimated to find work/childcare as they settle abroad. I also love agriculture as a sustainable development project and want to improve my skills with livestock.

I am quite independent, a quick learner, and extroverted.

Childcare:
I've been a nanny for over a decade and love what I do! I have many references from families with children ranging from 6 months old to teenagers, and I'd be glad to get you in touch with these parents. I have experience with children with autism, severe allergies, and deafness. I have a driver's license, but would love to be in an area with walkable infrastructure.

Agriculture:
I've just finished my MSc. in agricultural economic and I have studied in four countries. My thesis looked into EU-funded agri co-ops in the country of Georgia, and how they are improving rural womens’ financial and social outcomes. I want to improve my agricultural skills, and to learn how smallholder farms across Europe meet the challenges of climate change, sustainability, and shortening supply chains.

I am comfortable using power tools, electric mowers, hand tools, and in general getting dirty. Farm animals are a fun challenge, and I would like to use Workaway to improve my agricultural skillset. Maybe on your farm?

Hospitality:
I have experience as a receptionist and main (references also available of course!). As a frequent traveler, I know what your guests want when they check in, and do my best to make them feel comfortable in their new home.

I love to knit and have even had my work used in movies and TV shows. My most recent award was when All Quiet on the Western Front was nominated for a BAFTA award for Best Costume Design
