Hi!
We're Becky (33) & Liam (32) from the UK on our first WHV in Australia.
Becky:
I'm super creative and love anything to do with crafting or design, especially the idea of renovation and restoration, up-cycling etc. I love animals, nature and learning.
Liam:
I love talking to people and meeting new people and animals. I love trying new things and am ready to lend a hand and give anything a go.
Before coming to Australia we spent just over a year renovating a 2 bedroom house with my parents where we got to try a load of new things and which got us further interested in developing new skills.
We have just finished picking cherries in Tasmania and ready to move back to the mainland for a new challenge. Further down the line we hope to get our forklift license, would love to have a go at driving a tractor, and are pretty much up for anything.

Both of us enjoyed looking after our garden in the UK so have some experience in weeding, planting, and general maintenance. We have both also had dogs as pets so are used to walking them.
Becky has some experience in welding, painting and decorating, tiling.
Liam has experience in bathroom fitting including demolition, building stud walls, general plumbing, tiling, laying LVT flooring, painting & decorating, some basic carpentry & groundworks.

What else ...
Becky:
I have a degree in interior design, after working in an architectural studio for a year's placement, I realised that I'm not so great at being cooped up in an office, and much prefer practical hands on stuff.
I decided to try something totally new and got myself 2 welding qualifications in MIG in Mild Steel, and TIG in Aluminium. I'm not sure I can go back to a 'normal job' now and I'm trying to figure out how to find my path!
Liam:
My background is in bathroom fitting and groundworks in the UK and I would like to expand my skills and knowledge in construction and anything practical. I am really interested in creating and renovating things.
I really like football and support Portsmouth FC, I would love to watch some matches in Australia. I also took a real interest in gardening and hoped to gain some more experience in landscaping and horticulture.
We love nature and would be excited to explore the local areas as well as further afield. Liam loves to swim, Becky is not a strong swimmer but likes to go in the sea.
We enjoy cooking and learning different recipes, we do eat meat but also like to cook vegetarian and vegan meals. We really enjoy trying local beers, and playing pool and (attempting) darts in local pubs.
We would love to go to some live music events and meeting new people.
