Description

Hi! My name is Baret and I am 21 years old. I just finished school and am hoping to spend the next few years traveling, adventuring, and meeting new people. I love the continual learning that comes with being in new places with different people. I would describe myself as enthusiastic, positive, and flexible.

What brought me to workaway was the experience of traveling to Thailand in 2023 with my boss from the Thai restaurant I worked at while in school. Visiting another country with someone who lives or has lived there is a completely different experience than traveling through more stereotypical tourist routes. I love the idea of exchanging the opportunity to travel in this more meaningful and connection seeking way, for help with whatever project a host is working on. I love learning and working with people to solve problems or finish projects. This is why I think workaway is perfect for me!

My most important skill is my excitement and willingness to learn when faced with new challenges. I believe that in almost any workaway situation I will be hard working and helpful because working with people on projects they are passionate about is so fun!

I love team work, problem solving, and getting my hands dirty in the garden/farm, on a building project, cleaning, or crafting!

Additionally I have experience in nature restoration, outdoors adventure and safety, sailing/boat work, and childcare (I am CPR certified for infancts, children, and adults).
