Last year I spent 7 months on a production farm in Western North Carolina that grew lots of vegetables, flowers, and berries. I got to live on the farm, sell at local farmers markets, pack CSA boxes, and engage with pretty much all aspects of the work there. This year I've traveled to a few different intentional communities in Virginia where I've gained more experience in gardening, animal work, building and larger scale cooking. I also have experience working with kids through working part time at a day care, at a summer camp, and just throughout being places where looking after kids is part of daily life. In more recent months I've had the opportunity to explore wwoofing Workaway at a couple different places where I've built a bit of an eclectic resume. Things like doing chicken chores, herding sheep, building structures, putting in fences, harvesting honey, stacking wood, and more are all things I've gotten to dabble into throughout my time traveling.
