As my Schengen visa time is almost expired again I am taking 3 months to return to Australia to visit my daughter and my first grandson and my other grown up children for a few months.


Being retired, formerly a reg’d builder, after thirty years and prior to that in hotels and catering, I’m enjoying life by appreciating all the little things that bring enjoyment to both others and myself as I now once again return to journey of the Workaway family.

The skill set I possess includes:- concreting, masonry including stone work, carpentry, tiling, plastering, painting, some plumbing ( but no gas or hot water systems), landscaping including retaining walls,

Being a retired builder in both domestic and commercial construction l have a verity of skills. Starting with carpentry, masonry, concreting etc along with painting, landscaping etc.
Previously before many years in construction I studied and qualified in Hotel and Catering operations. Subsequently found myself as an owner / chef of two restaurants. Unfortunately I am a little rusty in the commercial sense however now willing to help out where required.
Amongst all of the above I spent over 15yrs as a Scout leader some time in the army.

My general interests is the outdoors, music and writing. (Although I’m keeping everything here brief)
I love sailing from dinghies to keel yachts ( I used to live on one ); canoeing; diving; fishing; snow skiing; camping; hiking etc
