Hi everyone!
My name is Anna, I’m 23 years old, I come from Bologna (Italy), and I’m a student looking for new experiences. In November 2024, I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communication sciences. From October to February, I attended a course to improve my English and reach a B2 level.

During this break from studying, I’d like to explore a sustainable and self-sufficient lifestyle - something I’ve always admired but never truly experienced. I’m not looking for a “pleasant vacation”: I would be happy to roll up my sleeves, meet new people, listen to them, and learn from their experiences and the environment they live in.

I’m a sociable and curious person, ready to learn and step out of my comfort zone. Through gardening, drawing, and modeling objects with DAS and clay, I’ve developed good manual skills, which I’m also trying to refine through crochet (a new hobby I recently started). In addition to these activities, I enjoy walking, running, and going on long bike rides.

Even though I prefer spending time outdoors, I also enjoy being at home, where I write, read, draw, and watch films. Since this is my first experience as a workawayer, I’m not sure which parts of my background will be truly useful, but I’ve always been a flexible guest, meticulous with cleaning, and self-sufficient in the kitchen - always open to trying out new recipes.

If homework help is needed, I’d be happy to lend a hand, especially with humanities subjects. However, my dream is to challenge myself and work closely with nature—harvesting fruits and vegetables and learning farming techniques. I’d be just as enthusiastic about helping with renovation or maintenance tasks, even though I don’t have experience in those areas yet. I hope to give them a try with precision and a lot of goodwill :)

Additionally, although I don’t have much experience with animals (except for some dog-sitting for my aunt’s four dogs), I’d be glad to learn more about their care as well.

What else ...

- Passo molto tempo ad osservare ciò che mi circonda, in particolare il comportamento degli animali e la struttura delle piante, allo scopo di ricopiarli su carta.
- Mi interessa molto l'etimologia delle parole, che ho avuto modo di approfondire grazie ai corsi di glottologia e di sociolinguistica presso l'Università di Bologna.
- Alcune estati trascorse a Rimini mi hanno insegnato ad apprezzare i giochi di carte, in particolare briscola e macchiavelli, o giochi di società come Taboo e Dixit, di cui sono grande fan.
