Hi! I'm Alex and I love travelling by bike cause I have time to look around and cause the trip becomes more important than the destination. I enjoy meeting new people and exchanging stories about life adventures or just talking about what I have in mind. I really like to make new experiences and learn by doing new stuff. I feel useful when I can help people by sharing my knowledge that, to be honest, is quite limited in terms of manual labour cause I have an academic background. However I grew up in the countryside with my family and we have fruit trees, a vegetable garden and animals so I learnt to use most of the commons work tools and I like manual work. I have some friends who have a farm and they use Workaway to have always someone around that can give a hand with the garden or with chores. I met there a lot of interesting people and I think the overall idea is brilliant so I want to be a Workawayer too and start travelling this way meeting open-minded people.

I use English for my job daily, but I'm always happy to expand my vocabulary and I have room to grow in pronunciation too. I recently started studying French and I'm interested in learning by speaking.

In my youth I worked in a mountain hut, therefore, I'm a good dishwasher!
I grew up in the countryside and I know how to do some manual work:
- Preparing the soil for a vegetable garden
- Pruning some vegetables
- Using brushcutters
- Feed and groom animals such as donkeys, chickens, ducks, and goats
I like working with wood, I can create simple stuff such as stools. Once I did a manual machine to exercise manual skills with my MTB :)
