Be A Guest Writer for Workaway

Do you love writing about travelling and want to share your workaway experience with the world?

Here at Workaway we often get encouraged by how volunteers and hosts have incorporated Workaway’s philosophy into their everyday lives and adventures.

Hearing your positive and life-changing Workaway experiences is the best part of our job and we’d love to be able to share the inspiration across the community!

If you would like to contribute a guest post for our Workaway blog, here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Original content of 400 -800 words;
  • A topic describing your field of expertise and how Workawayers have helped out at your projects
  • Or else an amazing travel story involving Workaway
  • …or if you have useful tips that either Workawayers or Hosts could benefit from
  • Be sure to include 5-8 photos and a link to your blog or social media account if you’d like us to tag you in the post

Please email us over with “workaway story” in the subject line.

Remember to include a link to your Workaway profile or your username when sending your message.

We look forward to hearing from you and reading your stories!

Alicia first started Workawaying in 2012 and has been hooked on meaningful travel ever since. She has backpacked, volunteered, and wandered through many corners of ... show more...

Now part of the Workaway team, she helps share the magic of cultural exchange with more travellers and hosts while also supporting the Workaway Giving Back Project. She believes travel is at its best when it opens doors, builds community, and gives something back along the way. Usually with one eye on the next adventure, Alicia is happiest near the sea, chasing waves, sunshine, and tropical island life, or finding joy in dance, karaoke and the occasional snowy escape.
