I had a genuinely good experience here and felt welcomed from the very beginning of my stay. Over the course of about two months, I primarily helped with the horses, sheep, and goose, and also contributed to fixing up an old trailer, including painting and installing interior panels. I additionally assisted with some minor computer-related tasks. The work was varied and engaging, and it was easy to feel useful and involved. Peter and Connie were kind, supportive, and consistently willing to help with any questions or issues that came up. They were also very open to helping me learn and practice German and took time to share insights into the local culture, which I greatly appreciated. Communication was generally good, though there were occasional moments where instructions or expectations differed slightly between Peter and Connie, which could be a bit confusing. That said, both were well-intentioned, and this never became a real problem. Asking for clarification and keeping everyone aligned was always enough to resolve things smoothly. Overall, this is a warm and worthwhile Workaway for volunteers who enjoy working with animals, practical hands-on projects, and life in a rural environment. I am glad I stayed here and would happily recommend it to others

Premarajan and his wife have been extremely kind and welcoming. They are curious and happy to learn about new cultures and habits and they are very keen on explaining theirs. We unfortunately only stayed a few days as the coconut oil delivery was quite delayed so we shortened our stay a bit. We would be more than happy to come back to help them out with their soap production. Thank you very much for spending time with us, showing us around and introducing us to North Kerala culture. Hopefully see you soon!

Amazing Workaway experience with Simon and Kei. Warm welcome from day one, I truly felt at home. Kei is an incredible cook, every meal was a real pleasure. Simon, Kei and the children are a wonderful family, kind and generous. I’m leaving with many beautiful memories, a lot of gratitude, and the wish to come back one day.

Lizzie is such a wonderful host! I had a wonderful time staying with her in her beautiful home. I was originally just meant to stay 2 weeks but ended up staying a whole month. She included me in her life and I learnt so much from her in my time there. She taught me how to knit a jumper, a little about preserving and cooking and lots about gardening! She's also an amazing cook and all the food was delicious. The area she lives in is really beautiful and i enjoyed walking along the beach and through the forest. I'm very grateful to have had the opportunity to have stayed with Lizzie and would definitely stay with her again! Thank you so much for having me Lizzie, you're always welcome in Adelaide! I stayed with this beautiful family in their very special home for one and a half week in January. I was working in the garden with different tasks, feeding the animals and also helping in the kitchen with washing dishes, and cleaning some areas. A few times I also took care of the children. My daughter and granddaughter came for a few days and that was a special experience for them. We are very grateful for letting all of us come. I shared beautiful moments with Anna talking about life. I had the chance to explore Icod de los Vinos that is a nice little village. La playa de San Marcos was nice and it was also interesting to visit La Casa del Plátano to learn about the history and cultivation of the bananas on the Canary Islands. We went together to El Mariposario and that was a wonderful place. Thank you from my heart for receiving me and I'll never forget the wonderful bath under the sky, among the plants with a marvellous view over the Atlantic Ocean!

This was a wonderful experience that exceeded my expectations. The program is very organised and allows for a wholesome experience. I will cherish my time there and am grateful for the connections I have made with the fellow volunteers.

Loys is awesome, great energy, great teacher, and got stuck in to any task we needed. Stayed for 4 months instead of the initial 1, so that tells you everything you need to know!

I have been with this family since the beginning of September and will stay until the end of the school year. Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin – I am incredibly grateful to have met such a wonderful family. From the very first day, I was warmly welcomed. They truly make me feel like part of the family, and from the start I felt a genuine interest in getting to know me as a person. I honestly cannot name a single negative point. Daily life is very well organized, and my tasks are exactly as we discussed beforehand. Over time, a lot of trust has been built, and I truly feel that this trust is mutual. I have plenty of free time, my weekends are always free, but I am also warmly invited to spend them with the family if I wish. What I especially appreciate are the small things that make a family feel like a family: having dinner together every evening, cooking together, or simply spending time together. This is what makes everyday life here so pleasant. I feel very comfortable in the family and truly valued. Azzurra and Arianna are incredibly sweet, lively and funny children, and spending time with them is a real joy. Erika and Alberto are just as kind, open and warm-hearted, and they genuinely care about my well-being. I can recommend this family 100% and I am very much looking forward to the coming months here in Rome.

Such a nice experience with Olga. She worked really a lot, with real skills for wood work, it has been a great service for us. We appreciated a lot also to have sharing moments, and conversation. Olga is easy to live with, sympatetic, and really helpful. Thanks again for coming.

Great expérience with Ilaria! She is dynamique, creative, really Kindle and helpul, and we both really appreciated the moments together and interesting conversations. We still have the nice painted decorations on the windows, and the stock of wood to make the fire she was courageous enough to carry. Thanks for coming Ilaria, wee have cleaned the house but also brought some light and joy! If you have the chance to host Ilaria, take it!

We had such a great time staying with Maree and her family at their beautiful homestead. From the moment we arrived, we felt really welcomed and comfortable. We stayed in their caravan, which was cosy and had everything we needed (and more)! The farm is lovely and full of animals. Their three dogs are very cute and friendly, and we also loved spending time around the pigs and sheep. Our help mainly involved garden work and cleaning around the property, which was straightforward and really rewarding. Maree and the kids were incredibly kind, relaxed, and it genuinely felt like being part of the family rather than a work exchange. We’d love to come back and stay again. Thanks so much for having us!! 😊

We stayed with Daniela and Ray for nearly three weeks and enjoyed every minute of it. We felt welcomed the moment we arrived! Konnie, their six year old, was instantly open interested and showed us the huge and beautiful garden. Moreover, Ray is the best sourdough bread baker ever, let us tell you when we first smelled the bread in the morning, it felt like heaven. We got to try so many amazing dishes and recipes and are so thankful for all the food we were given. Through the work in the garden, we learned a lot about planting trees, using loppers and so much more! They always made sure that we have enough freetime to relax or explore the surrounding areas. We got so many good recommendations, resulting in amazing daytrips and hikes. It was beautiful because we also got to learn new things about the maori culture and the kiwi life. For example they took us to the Big Dig, a typical kiwi experience! Furthermore Konnie really impressed us with her open and kind way of expressing herself. She is so energetic and really smart and will always find fun things to do. Daniela always made sure we felt at home and comfortable and openly shared her experiences in life. She is also really creative and we were amazed by the vision they have for the garden and are curious how it will look like in a few years time! We are very thankful for the time we got to spend here and will miss this family and the comfort we had for the past few weeks. (Especially the coffee machine🙏🏻) Thank you so much Daniela and Ray for hosting us! And thank you to Konnie for making our days brighter and funnier!

Spending ten days with this wonderful family was a pleasure. Louise and Linton are kind and generous, and their children truly made every day feel special and magical. We already miss them so much. The house is surrounded by beautiful forests and is close to the stunning Yarra Valley. Their meals were delicious: homemade pizza, Indian food, lots of vegetables, and eggs from the chickens at the house... everything was fresh, healthy, and made with so much care. We are deeply grateful for the food, the shared moments, and all the activities we did together. We recommend Louise and Linton as hosts: they are clear, flexible, and always respectful when it comes to the work, which mainly involves gardening and weeding. And the kids… they are truly the best souls you could ever hope to meet. We’re happy that our Australian adventure started here.

Osugi was a wonderful volunteer and a very respectful, thoughtful guest. Even though I didn’t get to meet him in person as I was away during his stay, we communicated consistently through WhatsApp, and I could feel his kindness and sincerity throughout. He quickly adapted to life on the farm and worked closely with Frank and Evelyne, becoming part of our small family with ease. He took initiative in daily tasks like watering and weeding the garden, feeding the chickens, preparing food for Trent (our dog), and helping around the house. He was always reliable, consistent, and calm. What stood out most about Osugi was his easy-going nature, curiosity, and respect for local culture. He shared meaningful conversations, enjoyed evening walks, and embraced every aspect of the experience — from attending a university festival with Evelyne to visiting Lake Victoria and enjoying music at Frank’s studio. He is someone you can trust, and we truly appreciated having him with us. We would gladly host him again anytime and recommend him wholeheartedly to other Workaway hosts around the world. Thank you, Osugi, and karibu tena!

I really enjoyed stayed here. From what I am used to the work was not too overwhelming and I had lots of time to rest and explore Avignon. I will definitely come back to help with more projects if I'm in Avignon again.

I was new to workaway and Olivia was everything I needed. She is an excellent communicator, friendly warm and very hardworking. She was a joy to have in my home as my companion. We cooked together and had long and open conversations. Olivia joined us at my daughter's Christmas lunch she was amazing on the day. She fitted in beautifully participating and engaging with a room of strangers. She was a tremendous assistance to my daughter, helping her with the dishes and cleaning up at the end of the day all without my instruction just her initiative. Olivia also encouraged me to walk. We walked for 2 hours on one occasion, something I hadn't done in a long time. She is gentile and charming I wish her well in her travels and hope to see her again one day. Olivia your the best - Maria xx

it was my first workaway and it was such a great experience!! if u like the sea, the sun, constant contact with a lot of people, this place is perfect for u!! not only the place, but also the people there, the hosts and the crew all, have been great to me, in a way I wasn't expecting. even though in high season u will work a lot, if u enjoy the job it won't be exhausting at all, but fun for sure, and u'll still have enough free time to enjoy Croatia and do whatever. Definitely suggested!

My stay with Sandra was a really special part of my time in New Zealand. From the beginning I felt very welcome and comfortable at her place. Sandra is a very kind, open and caring person and it was easy to feel at home with her. The work was fair and relaxed and I learned a lot about gardening and small building projects while also enjoying the calm and beautiful surroundings. The meals we shared were always delicious and it was great to spend time together and have good conversations. I am very grateful for this experience and the memories I take with me. I can honestly recommend staying with Sandra to anyone who is looking for a warm and peaceful Workaway experience.
