Looking for a brick-layer, stone-mason, electrician or carpenter or people with experience in this.
Looking for someone who has experience in regenerative vegetable garden and someone who can use a sewing machine. Also looking for people who can cook/ bake bread.
After about 10 years volunteering in several ecovillages and communities around Europe, I felt I accumulated enough expertise to start an Ecovillage Project with all the best solutions I found along my path and also personal intuitions about how to create a new social paradigm for the present and future generations.
I have a Philosophical and Spiritual background and also many years of practice in the holistic world as facilitator of human development practices and tecniques.
All this expertise I share with the visitors and volunteers at the place in order to create an enhanced state of living in the everyday life.
FIRST YEAR EXPERIENCE: The Anthropolistic EcoVillage, founded about 2 years ago by Mauna, has only been open for 1 and half year to official volunteering channels.
After this first year we can say that it was wonderful to receive so many volunteers from all over the world and to have taught them so many things that they will then be able to use in their lives in the ecological, economic, social, and spiritual fields (read the reviews). The Ecovillage received an important human and emotional contribution from most of them but, in fact, only a few volunteers had the skills to carry out the numerous works necessary to complete the first structural phase of the project (Dojo - space for group activities : flooring, doors and windows, electrical system, community showers, community compost toilets etc.).
The project is currently in a slowdown phase as the economic income necessary to purchase the materials to carry out the work has been used to support the volunteers and therefore no longer available for the numerous works still to be completed.
Only some particular professions may be considered for equal exchange such as bricklayers, carpenters, electricians etc. depending on the needs of the moment. For further details please feel welcome to get in contact by writing us a message.

This is an Ecovillage project which aims to create a new paradigm of life among human beings inspired by the return to some aspects of the tribal society of our ancestors with the awareness of the need to self-sustain in terms of food, water, and energy.
Through holistic practices and an anthropological understanding that illustrates the current need for this paradigm shift, we aim to experiment with a new social dimension no longer based on the mononuclear family and the traditional couple, but on a new dimension of tribe (One Heart , Many Huts) to return to living life according to our inner sensitivity in agreement with that of others.
Therefore we cultivate the Ecovillage as the Realm of Feeling and Being.
The place is located on approximately 8 hectares of hilly land 10 km from the sea on which a Permaculture and Food Forest project has been drawn up, still largely to be implemented, which could sustain a group of 30/40 people on a vegetarian diet.
The currently habitable structure consists of a large kitchen, relaxation area, 2 guest rooms, a dormitory for 4 people, a bathroom, external compost toilet, and shower.
The activities change depending on the season and needs: from making a summer or winter vegetable garden and then tending to it, fertilizing, watering and everything that is useful for good maintenance. Harvest of carobs, olives, and almonds depending on the season. Collaboration in the kitchen for shared meals and cleaning of common areas in the house and outside. Furthermore, there is a lot of structural work underway which, depending on the skills and availability of the volunteers, can be decided to do.
An ecovillage is a complex reality that requires time to be understood and therefore to be able to make a valid contribution but also to begin to enter into the social spirit of the tribe. The ideal minimum period for a volunteer to start feeling the value of this project is around 3 weeks but it is possible to have an experience here even for shorter periods.

Accommodation
in nature with personal or provided tent , van etc. or shared room according to availability. the diet at is mainly vegeterian and part of the food is provided from the veggy garden already working.

Ecovillage is set at 3 kms from the famous castle of DonnaFugata (with restaurants and pubs and a nice nightlife to enjoy) and around 10 kms away from beautiful mediterranean beaches ( Punta Braccetto, Randello and Punta Secca) that can be reached also by bikes.
Moreover Ragusa Ibla (ancient town settlement) is at only 25 kms and visitors can enjoy such inteesting very ancient sicilian town with ineresting sithseeings to explore. DonnaFugata Castle Train station is only 3 kms away with connection with Ragusa town.

The connection here is poor and sufficient for the basic needs of the Ecovillage. For Digital nomads we should talk about the help and necessities they have and also the availability they give to the village.
Space for parking camper vans
The land here is very large and there is plenty of space for motorhomes and camping vans especially in the case of families it would be the only possibility at present to receive them
Can possibly accept pets
there are restrictions in certain areas of the village like vegetable garden and common spaces, for the rest as long as the dogs remain outdoor they are allowed. For other pets we have to consider each case and take agreement before.
