    Description

We are a family of 5 including Emiliano (49), Elisa (49), and our 3 kids Alice (14), Pablo (11) and Oliver (9). We live some 15 Km away from Pisa in wonderful Tuscany. Our house is close to a small village called Montemagno, near Calci, and it is surrounded by our land property which is 6,000 square meters of olive trees and other plants. My husband and I work in Pisa and our kids go to school there too, hence during the winter we are almost all day away during the day.

Our big two-storey renovated farmers’ house is fully equipped (we have heating both from gas and wood, wifi, etc.) It has a wonderful view on the valley, the city of Pisa and you can also get to see the Mediterranean sea from our terrace. Montemagno is part of Monti Pisani where there is a wealth of trekking trails around in the area if you are passionate about walking in the nature.

We offer you a warm family, tasty meals and cultural exchange. Emiliano plays the drums in case you like to do some experience with that.

  • Help

    Help

We are looking for a person who would like to stay with us in the countryside and can help us in our winter daily life. We are looking for some help in the house and its outdoor and for someone who can occasionally spend some time (especially at dinner time) with the children and talk to them in English or Spanish. In the house we would need some help with cleaning or tiding up, laundry, cooking, or other occasional housework, while outdoor we might need help to chop wood or refill the wood heater, or to do some gardening. In general, any help you are able to give, is a dream for us!

    Accommodation

You will have your own cozy room either at the ground floor or at the upper floor (single bed). In both cases you will have access to a bathroom with shower which at night and in the morning will be exclusive for you (it might be used in the day if necessary and your room is way to the laundry).

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Some notes about us and our place. We are a busy perhaps slightly chaotic Italian family, we talk loudly, we eat meat among other things (but we are ok with vegan and vegetarian!), we have a lot of activities going on and a lot of friends visiting, and so it is not going to be boring. We have travelled in Australia, most of Latin America and Europe, Asia, Africa and the adults of the family can speak English and Spanish quite fluently (some German and Norwegian as well but better not) while some of the kids understand and speak some English. We love lively and interesting discussions, but also the peace of the nature. Our place is enchanting, but it is reachable through a road that in the last 600 meters requires some training if you are used to nice paved city roads. So, in case you will use your own car (or other means of private transport), be aware you need to gain some experience and not be afraid of unpaved narrow and steep roads. Our neighbours have goats, sheep, and a donkey. Horse riding is possible in the area. There is a bus stop some 800 meters from our place, but the bus is not very frequent (here you can check the timetables: Montemagno would be the final village close to our house: ). The bus brings you to Pisa and back. It runs approx every hour but not after 8 pm. We can give you a ride whenever we go to town (Pisa or Calci). The house is on a top of a hill so biking can be challenging when you go up, but feasible. We have 5 cats. In case you are allergic you should know this.
