Travelers will have the opportunity to meet local ranchers that have been living off the land for generations as well as the original pioneers of Patagonia, Chile. The lodge is all off the grid, very remote, learning how the entire boutique lodge is run for high end clientele, without being connected to traditional electricity. Languages spoken at the lodge are Spanish and English. You will learn how to take care of yourself and help others in the true wild of Patagonia, where the bartering system is still a way of life.
We are a small lodge looking for a persons or a couple that can help with many tasks required at a lodge. Some duties could include, general grounds keeping, raking, painting, watering flowers, chopping and stacking wood, building hiking trails, housekeeping, dishes, shopping, dining room service, interacting with local ranchers/farmers/businesses, equipment maintenance, vehicle maintenance, all while keeping a fun and friendly attitude! Smiling , laughing, being a team player, and self motivation is a requirement. Patagonia is a magical place and you will need to have a positive attitude to be able to enjoy it to its fullest potential.

Rustic cabin with shared bathroom, (both options of shared bedroom or private bedroom) with living space. Wood stove for heating. November and December we will all pitch in for cooking meals, January & February you will need to help prepare your meals with the chef. It is difficult to cater to specific dietary requests at a remote lodge but not impossible. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions. We go into "town" once or twice a week, otherwise you are at the lodge and exploration from the lodge is mostly by foot.
on the time off you can hike from the property on the Sendero Trail. We can arrange a horseback rides to the glacier. Driving in the area is not recommended but one of the guides or owners can take you on a tour of the area.
We treat everyone as part of the family. While you are primarily behind the scenes we understand the lodge has many moving parts and we need everyone to help out. You will be living on the property and we do require a level of professionalism at all times. We will not tolerate obsessive drinking, and no smoking in or around buildings or grounds areas.
