We support local communities and families through their children's happiness and growth and provide a safe, nurturing environment that cultivates self-esteem.

While volunteering , volunteers will have to work under the assessment of different teachers which will help them boost up their team work spirit. Adapting to new way of teaching in the school, dealing with students of all different ages with different family background could be a challenge but at the end of the day you learn to be come out of your comfort zone. Working with the small kids requires a lot of patience level volunteers can improve at the end of the program.
Besides the volunteering in school, volunteers receive an excellent opportunity to indulge in the local home-stay program where we arrange their food and accommodation . Volunteers and the host family can surely experience the exchange of their own cultures , traditions and even languages through involvement in daily activities in the kitchen or the way of living .Volunteers are happily welcomed to any festival that are coming on the way. Moreover, host family can help the volunteers for sight seeing around the historical places of the city and even outside the valley.
By this, volunteers have greater knowledge and facts regarding the culture of Nepal which could be completely different from their own nationality. They could learn to be more flexible and adjustable for their further travelling trips .
Volunteers will help with daily activities and observe children to ensure a healthy and safe learning environment at our center. They usually teach various activities to children to help encourage social, mental, physical and emotional development.
They support learning by providing activities and materials that children find engaging. By facilitating learning, supplying a developmentally appropriate environment, interesting materials, and adequate time to explore, play, and interact, children find learning easy and fun!
To nurture is to nourish. Nurturing a child encompasses all aspects of development: social, emotional, cognitive, and physical. In every interaction, a teacher should nurture appropriate growth and development.
They use games, storytelling, and other activities to help children develop language and vocabulary, improve social skills, and learn basic science and math concepts.
It’s an opportunity for them to share their passion for life while they inspire, engage, and awaken the wonder inside each and every child.

We arrange accommodation for our volunteers in the nearby host family.Volunteers will stay there just as a member of the family and experience the Nepalese way of living. Each volunteer will have their own separate room with basic facilities.Volunteers are kindly requested to contribute $5 to their host families for their food ( 3 meals a day) and accommodation.
Extra services like WiFi, laundry will cost extra chargé.
We will be enormously grateful if volunteers could bring some teaching materials (pencils, sharpener, erasers, colors, copies, etc), stories books with a lot of illustrations, baby clothes, toys OR whatever they think will be useful.
At their time off, volunteers can go for sightseeing in Kathmandu. Members of the Host family can show them around and guide if they are interested to explore the local sights. Therefore, the transportation charge (taxi or bus) should be beared by the volunteers themselves.

In developing countries (Where most hosts are involved in charity work or community development) some of our hosts may ask for a small donation to help the host family or charity (often less then 5 dollars per day) Workaway will allow this listing when the donation goes directly to the family or charity and is just to cover the cost of the volunteer‘s stay. (This will be clearly marked on the host listing).
We will strictly not allow listings posted by agents, “middle men” or projects who we feel are looking to profit from a volunteers stay.
