Description
Hi there!
My name is Julia and we live with my 4-year-old son, named Sael, in a cozy and very well located apartment in the Poble Sec neighborhood in Barcelona. I am an architect and a lover of cultural plans and events that take place in the city.Types of help and learning opportunities
Babysitting and creative playGeneral MaintenanceCultural exchange and learning opportunities
I will provide a full agenda of cultural events in the city and also any help and instructions to get to know the highlights. I am quite up to date on the main events every week and I have a great network of people around me. As well as general gastronomic recommendations
Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
I will need help with my child after school and in the evenings, a few days a week. Depending on my work schedule, some days I will also need to be picked up from school, which is a 20-minute walk away.
Sael, my 4-year-old son, is very easy going and friendly when it comes to meeting new people.Languages
Languages spoken
Spanish: Fluent
English: Intermediate
Catalan: BeginnerThis host offers a language exchange
I would like to improve my English, expanding my vocabulary. I can also teach and exchange conversation in Spanish and also in Catalan.Accommodation
I have a separate room, equipped with a single bed, a closet for clothes, a nightstand with drawers and a fan for summer days. This room is my son's playroom, so there will be some toys hanging around. We will share the bathroom together, as well as the kitchen, living room and balcony.
My idea is to provide basic foods, to have a regular and complete diet, including four meals a day. Also trying to share some of them, with the idea of exchanging experiences and language. What else ...
I live very close to MontJuic, so you can even use it as a backyard and spend a day walking through nature. Furthermore, the neighborhood is very accessible in terms of public transportation or even if you want to rent urban bicycles.
Regarding co-living, we will be outside with my son, most of the day, due to school and work schedules. But my ideal way of living is to respect the time and space of each individual, while trying to collaborate in the general maintenance of the apartment. The apartment is small enough to invite friends every day, but there is always room for communication and new organizational proposals.
Smoking or inviting anyone to spend the night is not allowed.A little more information
