Description
Hello! We are a family living on a shared land within an eco village in the jungle just outside of Playa del Carmen in the Mexican Caribbean. We are working to develop our space into a holistic center for events, retreats, workshops, classes, healing sessions and family/community gathering for sharing, learning, fun and growth. Between us living here we offer eco tours to local natural sites, holistic healing therapies and mentoring, and close by in our village there are many offerings for you to explore, such as visionary plant and mycelium medicine ceremonies, traditional plant medicine, healing therapies and lots of nature to explore. We are with walking to 3 beautiful cenotes (natural fresh water caves and pools). There is a small town nearby within walking (or by motorcycle taxi or bike) to shop the local markets for fresh fruits and veggies, tortillas, juice and more.
We have 2 children (ages 8 and 2 years). The elder goes to a Waldorf school within our village and the younger we would like to have a kind, patient and responsible person to spend time with around the property. We also have an outdoor kitty and 3 bunnies!
We enjoy all cultures, all music, connecting by the fire, serenity, celebration and the healing process that is life.

We are an American and Mexican family! We speak English and Spanish in the home, and are happy to help you learn. We can share healing modalities, basics of ritual and working with altars, knowledge of plants, nutrition, detoxing and healing. We can also share lots about the Mexican and local cultures, nature, etc, and advise you where to go or even take you for trips with a private guide :) we can help you organize plant medicine journeys and other experiences as well.

Help
The main help we need is a helping hand around the house and loving presence for our children. Someone who is willing and energized, as well as flexible. We prefer to have someone who has experience with small children, but not absolutely necessary! If we have sufficient help with the house and property, running errands to the local town etc., then we have more time for the kids and can also look for help with them as needed when we are working. Let us know your skills, experience, interests, desires, wisdom, knowledge etc. And we can see how you would best fit in with our flow!

Accommodation
Camping is the main accommodation, with a tent, mattress and bedding. Camping is outside in the area that can be seen in our profile photo. Indoor accommodation is sometimes available.
We will provide food for 3 meals per day, on working days. When we are home we may cook and eat together, or there will be food prepared for the volunteer. If we are not home, the volunteer will be given access to food to prepare.
What else ...
We are happy to assist with local transportation and guide you along your travels. You can ride along with us as desired. We are connected to a community of conscious friends and family who offer ecstatic dance, yoga classes, sound healing and much more!
