Description
We‘re Robin and Johanna and we‘re living in a very rural part in Germany, so called „Erzgebirge“. We grew up only a few kilometers away and start our own restaurant in May 2024. We have two very adorable sons (1 and 3 years old) and want to have a dog in the nearest future too. We traveled the world (solo and with our kids), we’re big adventurers no matter if hitchhiking, backpacking or bikepacking (Robin is an extreme cyclist). Our area is very conservative and stereotypical German, but we want to bring all the cultures we’ve experienced in our life here and show people how great it is to be surrounded by people from other nations, and our kids to other languages. We are 27 and 28, very positive and spontaneous people who like to be active and do things. We also have a big family that lives here and who you become a part of :-)

I think it might be interesting to experience how to live in rural Germany and not some major city as Berlin or Frankfurt. We live in a small village but with a strong commcommunity sense and we love to get to know you and your culture.

Help
During the afternoons and in the evening we are busy with our restaurant which is in the same building as our apartment. Therefore your job would be to pick our sons up from daycare (around 2-2:30 pm) and play with them during the day. Depending on our schedules, you might have to bring them to bed from time to time (which is around 7pm, but we’re not very strict on that). You can either cook, make some easy cold food or order food from downstairs for you and the kids. It’s basically 5hrs from Wednesday to Sunday. You are completely free during the mornings, nights and Monday and Tuesday. We might be able to get you some German course too. Since it is a very rural area, you need a drivers license to get around. You can definitely use our car. We’re living right at a hiking and skiing spot, so if you like the Forrest and nature this will be the right place for you. Since most people here don’t know English (but we and our friends+family do, along with other languages, so no worries!) it is the best if you already have some basic language knowledge. We’re sure you’ll be an German expert after living here for a bit :-) and if you like to proof your language skills.
