Greetings! (1)🙏 PLEASE DO NOT contact me until it is LESS THAN 30 DAYS from your arrival in LA + YOU ALREADY HAVE A CONFIRMED TICKET that you will provide the confirmation code for in your first message. (2) In the SUBJECT LINE OF YOUR MESSAGE please put your dates of travel in LA (both the arrival and departure dates). (3) PLEASE READ THE "WHAT ELSE" SECTION BELOW and fully understand the details there before sending me your first message. As my username says I am a professional explorer. I have been exploring near my home and across the globe since I was a baby and I haven't stopped. My home base is in the city of Los Angeles, one of the most exciting cities in the world with so much to see and do. My home is directly in a cultural district surrounded many tourist attractions. You can start exploring LA even on foot by just taking a few steps outside my home.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I am an American, born and raised, so I can share with you from personal experience about my culture. I know LA well and I'd be happy to share how you can know it easily too. I also have a lot to share in terms of my own journeys and I would love to swap stories with you. There is an abundance of transportation options outside my home. Most local, suburban, regional, and national bus and train lines are just moments away. You can get all over LA, California, and other U.S. States easily from my home.
Help
Stay in the heart of Los Angeles while helping me with tasks around my home. Tasks will be mostly cleaning and organizing. Since I am away exploring so often, your assistance with smalls tasks will help me get caught up!

Accommodation
You would sleep on a convertible sofa bed. You would be surrounded by huge windows and wake up to the California sunshine. Food you can mostly prepare yourself and we will plan as many meals together as we can so we can use meal times together to discuss our cultures and things to see while traveling.
What else ...
Remember when you write: (1) Wait to contact me until it is LESS THAN 30 DAYS from your arrival in LA + YOU ALREADY HAVE A CONFIRMED TICKET that you will provide the confirmation code for in your first message. Write in your request that you do have a confirmed ticket (plane, train, bus, car rental) and discuss any details about it. Do not force sending me messages if you don't meet this criteria. (2) In the SUBJECT LINE OF YOUR MESSAGE please put your dates of travel in LA (both the arrival and departure dates).
**Please, please respect what I am writing to you again and again: TO WRITE your first message it must be LESS THAN 30 DAYS before you will arrive in LA + You MUST have a confirmed ticket to travel to LA.*** If you don't meet these criteria you need to wait to write me.
(3) I can only host for short stays because as my username describes I spend so much time gone from home exploring the world. (4) If you are not ready to communicate actively, don't apply yet. Once you apply, if you disrespect by dropping communication and disappearing (ghosting) without writing back that you are changing your plans, you will not be able to request to stay with me in the future when you come back to LA. (5) If you plan to go to Universal Studios or Disneyland during your stay I can join you sometimes!!! 🎢
Tom has a quirky personality that leaves a lasting impression. I appreciate his help installing lights and securing a bed frame. Tom fulfilled his dream of coming to LA and I wish him luck as he pursues his interest in acting.
Josephene, thank you for the lovely stay and sharing your home with me for the first segment of my LA adventure. Sumire "Suu" was a reliable helping hand during her stay with me. She always confirmed the details of my requests to make sure she was performing well on tasks. She made the most of her time in LA each day sightseeing at so many places from Malibu to Griffith Observatory. When I had spare time, I also took her to places focused on LA culture.
Josephene is truly a superhost who made my Workaway experience unforgettable. She is really friendly and always engages in conversation, listening with genuine care. She also showed me around the city, went out with me when we had free time, and recommended great places to visit. Also, her cooking was always varied,well-balanced,and absolutely delicious.

Additionally, her place is conveniently located near public transportation, making it easy to get anywhere. She also patiently explained directions whenever I went out, which was very helpful.
This stay allowed me to learn a lot, grow, and have an amazing experience. Thank you so much for the wonderful memories!
I happily showed Piyamaporn "Minto" hospitality when she came to my home. Unfortunately in return, Minto made me feel disrespected, used, and unsafe. Tanya and her friend Endah arrived on a perfect rare day, the first day of summer combined with a full moon (see photo section)! We spent that night dancing at a Bollywood-themed event. She crammed in a lot of tourism from museums to the Hollywood sign. Tanya also put her energy into helping me with some organizing and cleaning tasks.
Staying with Josephene was a wonderful experience! She is a very friendly host who is happy to show you around and introduce you to the abundance of fun activities LA has to offer! Josephene’s profile is very accurate and the work was totally manageable: sorting things and helping organize them in a storage space, and a little bit of cleaning in the apartment — it wasn’t hard at all.
We tried to have meals together as often as we could (depending on our city exploration schedule) and it was always fun to chat about life and our international adventures:) I wish we could stay longer!

I thoroughly enjoyed my workaway experience with Josephine. She would love to invite us to some events and introduce some places to us at downtown LA. The workloads she requested were doable and allowed us to enjoy the rest of the days exploring the city!! She is so flexible about the work time and made it easy to work with her. She is also so accommodating about the meals and our bed. We would have some chatting during meals, sharing some stories about her traveling experiences which is fun. I had a great time, thanks, Josephine!
