    Description

    Hi everybody,

Philippe and I, Marieke are living in a very rural area of Alsace, in a small village close to Germany, in an old farmhouse.
After traveling for a few years, working and volunteering abroad, we decided to settle down and start our own project, living a simpler life and being closer to nature.
We love gardening and have a nice veggie garden and an orchard as well.
Nature and environment questions are very important to us, and we try having as less impact as we can, by making many things on our own, recycling stuff, reducing our waste, growing our food and thinking of alternatives.
We have a few chicken who give us fresh eggs every day :)
We love to cook vegetarian meals from scrap, making our own soap, preserves, and being creative!
With a few friends, we built a firebath to enjoy the garden in the wintertime soaking in hot water, and we would love to build a sauna one day as well!
We would love to host nice and open minded people who love building things to help us with building up a big yurt in our garden. We are mostly looking for people from the 24 of april 2023.

We can accommodate people in our two dorms inside our house, we share a small kitchen and bathroom on the inside of the house, but we also have a summer kitchen and a dry toilet outside the house.

We expect people to help us 5 hours a day maximum. We will be building up the yurt when the weather is nice, so bad weather days will be our days off :)

Our place is not reachable by public transportation, so if you don't have a car you can either hitchhike, come with a bicycle or we can pick you up from the closest train station!

The area we live in is very rural and beautiful, so there is a lot of hiking, cycling and exploring to do. There is a few climbing places and lakes around. 5 minutes walking from our place there is a horse farm where you can go for a ride between forest and fields.
For those interested in history, there are also old medieval castles and other historical WW2 sites to see.
