    Description

We are a Ukrainian Austrian family. Olga, Thomas and our two children. We always hosted volunteers from the beginning on in 2017 when we started with our farm.

In our farming household we keep chicken for own consumption and have a small garden for herbs and vegetables.

We grow our own vegetables and preserve different vegetables for overworking. thus we have all year round marmelade, tomato sauce, pickled vegetables and other products on our table. You can be part of all these activities depending on your time of visit. You will take part in only the non commercial homegrowing field of our self sufficient farm.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We are a Ukrainian - Austrian family and we like to share also our experiences as well as our way how to start a self-sufficient farm stay. We are an International couple and already had the chance to learn on other places and we want to share this knowledge.

With our Guests we share our daily life of keeping animals and growing vegetables, as well as raising children in a rural surrounding with all the benefits and challenges. Moreover they are included in our every-day-life with different tasks and possibilities for cultural exchange.
e.g. gather experience from self sufficiency (practises from Austria and Ukraine)
learn how to cook traditional Ukrainian "Borsch" and other delicious meals as well as Austrian dishes.
Learn how to preserve grown vegetables.
We also like to show people the nearby nature and also cultural activities

What else we can offer is to be part of our big network of friends, collegues, family and village community so you can experience a real authentic farm stay.
We see this as a unique experience and chance where we get to invite people from all over the world and have a cultural exchange, learn about their background, every day life and just have a good time together.

    Help

Mainly we need help for the daily routine in the household but also with taking care of our small chicken flock for own consumption. Further possibilities are in the contribution for vegetable growing. Moreover you can contribute in the process of overworking of the vegetables (non-commercial). From these tasks you can learn how make our vegetable storable to have the whole year own products. On the other hand you can enjoy these products fresh on the table (e.g. a fresh tomato sauce in a cold winter day :))
