    Hey!

My name's Loick. I am new to workaway and i would like to welcome people to my house in France!

I have traveled much, hosted and been hosted on other platforms ext.. My turn now to open my home to all you extraordinary travellers.

A little bit about myself. I'm 28. I have a passion for traveling and the outdoors. I do heaps of cycling, climbing and mountaineering.
I love to socialize, share & meet people. Building community is important to me and having like minded people to share meals is great.

My family owns this house in the french countryside. It is empty most of the time. I am the person who takes care of it. I spend a lot of time there to just working. Which is by itself, a fantastic experience.

It is located in a very small village between Lyon and Dijon. In the heart of the Beaujolais surrounded with lots of vineyards and winery.

The house was restored in 2001. Keeping the original structure of apparent rocks. Lots of bedrooms and opem spaces for all tastes and needs.

It's a place of peace and quiet vibes. Free of internet. Space to think, chill enjoy life and recharge batteries.

Here you can experience life at a slower pace. Life is simple and easy. It can give you a lot of time to yourself surrounded by beautiful nature.

The region is rich in french culture. Close to france's culinary capital, Lyon. It is easy to take trains to any bigger city for day trips and exploring.

It is architecturally very interesting with castles and abbayes. There are many historical sites.

This is the heart of wine culture. Learn about wine making and wine production. And mostly, a lot of wine tasting.

I can teach and share basic construction skills as much as teaching French.

There are endless biking opportunities and trail running paths. I have two very cool bikes and do a lot of gravel riding.

There are two very cool climbing crags where i spend a lot of time!

There is much to do but i would not recommended this for people who look for adrenaline and partying.

I try to keep the house healthy. It can be any type of jobs. It consists mainly of gardening, sanding, painting, plumbing and maintaining wooden structures.

I have a room with many tools and lots of space to work confortably.

I take care of jobs requiring professional skills but there are lots of little jobs to do around the place. Which for most are really fun.

Gardening is a big chunk. The garden is huge and has endless tasks. Mainly mowing the lawn and trimming trees. Picking up all the fallen fruits.

There is plenty to do around the garden for anyone having a green hand. Lots of Gardening opportunity's for anyone wanting to experiment and grown things.

I'm sure anyone can find something they enjoy doing.
