    Description

We are older gay male couple with 110 acres which we are restoring to its natural state. Our property has a conservation easement and is located in a tiny hamlet called Maple Grove. There are multiple buildings including a chapel which we renovated and has been added to the registry of National Historic Buildings. We have restored our wetland, worked to improve our timber stand, cleaned up much debris, and are attempting to create a sustainable eco-friendly landscape. We are nurturing a vegetable garden filled with perennial and annual vegetables and are continuing to improve the buildings on our property. We are not a business and do not sell our produce.

Maple Grove is located in the Butternut Valley Watershed in upstate New York known for its water quality and beauty.

We are looking for workawayers interested in restoring landscape informed by permaculture principles, wiling to do manual tasks, and create art from debris.
