    Description

Together with my girlfriend, ceramic artist Gunvor Tangrand, I started Rokkvika Porselensfabrikk a few years ago. Rokkvika Porselensfabrikk is a micro-factory/ceramic studio in Lofoten. We produce and sell our ceramics to restaurants that want unique tableware as well as to the consumer market. This summer we need an extra set of hands in sales, as we will have a shop both in our studio in Stamsund, as well as a pop-up shop in the beautiful and picturesque village of Nusfjord.
We think Lofoten is the most beautiful place in the world, and so does the thousands of travellers that visit every year. Maybe this could fit into your own travelling schedule?

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We would love to meet you and make a connection that we hope can last long after this summer. Many of our family members will be involved in the business this summer. Me and Gunvor, of course, but also Gunvors daughters Aletta (20) and Kornelia (25). Our youngest Alma (8) will hang around as well :). You will also meet Ronja, who is an apprentice at Rokkvika Porselensfabrikk. She will do some shifts in Nusfjord too.
Any applicants that have skills and knowledge in ceramic production may also get to do some hands-on work outside of sales. We may need some extra hands in production as well, and Gunvor is a great teacher.
Check out her instagram & ask us for the link.

We need extra personnel especially for our pop-up shop in Nusfjord. We can offer free on-site acommodation in Nusfjord as well as an hourly wage of NOK 165. The shop in Nusfjord will be open 7 days a week from 11:00 to 17:00, but we will of course coordinate with other employees to provide your days off.
You will be provided training in the use of the payment system as well as knowledge about the ceramic products on sale in the shop.

An interest in or knowledge about ceramics and art would be an asset, but most important is a friendly disposition and great customer skills.
