Description
This is a beautiful boutique guesthouse and family home in the South of France. The manoir is located in a tiny hamlet surrounded by Vineyards and sunflower fields in a typical rustic French environment.
Myself and my partner Rob along with our one year old daughter Viola, own the Manoir and moved to France from the UK in 2015 to seek out a more relaxed and creative way of living. Our aim to create a stunning boutique guesthouse that is unique and loved by all who stay with a emphasis on art and food. The manoir is a retreat for the luxury vagabond and we are working hard during the next 12months to make it even better. It's an ideal location for any volunteers seeking inspiration, home cooking and an experience of rural France.Types of help and learning opportunities

It's an ideal location for any volunteers seeking inspiration, good home cooking and an experience of rural France. There will be a variety of tasks undertaken so volunteers can expect to develop their skill set and knowledge of gardens and DIY. We are interested in many things including art, literature, debate, food, wine, herbalism, aromatherapy, gardening, film etc, so hope to welcome our volunteers with good conversation and share experiences.
Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
We need assistance with a variety of jobs out of season to improve the Manoir. Some of these are creative and some are general maintainance. The work could be both inside and out. However, dependent on volunteers skills and areas of interest we can work together to find tasks that are suited for everyone's interests and preferences. We are particularly interested in hosting couples and chaps travelling together (we need strong sets of hands!)

Accommodation
Volunteers will be given a private room and bathroom in the main house. These are our guests rooms so are extremely comfortable and luxurious. If volunteers are travelling in a pair we also have a twin room with its own bathroom.
What else ...
Time off can be spent on country bikes rides (we have), woodland walks, visits to bastide towns, Bordeaux and Toulouse are accessible for day trips, relax with a book from our library, play the guitar, foodie markets and wine discovery. A lift to the nearest train station is possible for volunteers to explore the wider region.
